Professor Galit Shmueli’s research has been published in the statistics, information systems, and marketing literature. She has authored five books, including the popular textbook Data Mining for Business Intelligence, and published over 50 publications in peer-reviewed journals like books, including the top journals Management Science, Journal of the American Statistical Association, Journal of the Royal Statistical Society, Information Systems Research, MISQ, Marketing Science, Statistical Science and Technometrics. Professor Shmueli serves as associate editor for two top journals in Statistics. She presents her work internationally, and serves as organiser and chair in various conferences. Professor Shmueli teaches courses on data mining, forecasting, data visualisation, statistics, and more. She taught at Carnegie Mellon University’s Statistics Department, University of Maryland’s Smith School of Business and online at Statistics.com. She is passionate about teaching data analytics and promoting its use in the business environment. She established the Asia Analytics Lab at the ISB, which brings together academics, industry and students with an interest in analytics in the Asian context.
