The Learning Resource Centre (LRC) at the ISB helps faculty, research students and staff with data retrieval and analysis for research or curriculum needs. Assistance ranges from providing short term case updates for class to long term case studies. Staff assists in collecting and collating data from diverse sources ranging from historical data to current updates, market data to literature surveys or for any other customised need. The services include:
- Data gathering, analysis, and management
- Providing access to databases where peer reviewed academic journals such as JSTOR, SSRN, Compustat, among others are accessible in full-text
- Procuring teaching aid software such as CrystalBall, Markstart, SAS and others
- Training for database usage and teaching aid software
- Providing on demand Business Intelligence Analysis
- Literature reviews, providing a list of reference articles, links, etc. along with abstracts
ISB Behavioral Laboratory (ISB-BL)
The Indian School of Business Behavioral Laboratory (ISB-BL) assists in the conduct of behavioral research on business and management-related topics by faculty members at both ISB and Wharton. ISB-BL will provide this service in a number of ways including maintaining and updating facilities, collaborating with colleges/universities and nearby companies to obtain the necessary subject pool, collecting data, and staffing a research laboratory on the ISB campus where computer-based experimental research can be conducted.
The ISB-BL is a collaborative venture between the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad and the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. The goal of the ISB-BL is to enhance research productivity, intellectual growth and facilitate quality research of the faculty of the ISB.
Institutional Review Board (IRB)
The Institutional Review Board (IRB) deals with the review of behavioral research which involves human participants. The committee approves and monitors ALL studies involving human participants to ensure that the experiment or survey is designed to meet legal and ethical concerns and does not involve unnecessary risks for the participants.
