About PGPpro

Is PGPpro considered equivalent of a Master’s Degree?

While the programme is equivalent in content and rigour to an Executive MBA, the Indian regulations do not allow independent institutions to grant a Master’s degree. You will receive a certificate of completion of the Post Graduate Programme in Management for Working Professionals. The industry, however, understands the relevance of this issue.

Is PGPpro considered equivalent of the full time PGP offered by ISB?

The programme is similar in content and rigor to an Executive MBA programme globally. The content is tailored to the needs of the profile and seniority of the class.

Work experience of students studying in full-time PGP ranges from 2 – 20 years. How is PGPpro offering different from that of PGP?

Although PGP work experience is in the range of 2 – 20 years, the average work experience of PGP class is close to 5 years. There is very little percentage of students in PGP with work experience of over 8 years and they have their own specific reasons to pursue the programme. PGPpro is designed for professionals who do not want to take time off from work but still pursue a world-class management programme. The curriculum in PGPpro is designed to meet the needs of mid-level professionals and that includes their personal development programme and career skills programme.

What is the value proposition of the PGPpro programme?

PGPpro allows working professionals to complete a world-class programme without any opportunity cost as they continue to earn while completing this programme.

How will the learning add value to my career or add value to my profile?

PGPpro students get the opportunity to learn from faculty members who are not only recognized experts and researchers in the field of management but also seasoned practitioners in this field. The insights students gain from working with faculty members will prepare them to face complex business challenges in their organisations. In addition, the diversity of class mates will enrich their experience and prepare them to lead more effectively in their chosen career. This enhanced knowledge and ability positions them to stand out amongst the others for more exciting career opportunities.

Is the weekend module as effective as PGP?

The best way to compare programmes is by comparing the contact hours. PGPpro offers the same number of contact hours as that of the PGPMAX, ISB’s other Executive MBA programme equivalent and not much less than that of the PGP. This is primarily due to the curriculum being tailored to seniority of the profile in PGPpro.
