The Centre continues to build on strong links with several prestigious academic institutions and faculty across the world. Professor K Ramachandran has been working closely with Professor John Ward of the Kellogg School of Management since 2003. The Centre continues to work with Babson College as part of the global project “Successful Transgenerational Entrepreneurship Practices (STEP).” It collaborates extensively with Centre for Family Business, University of St. Gallen and Professor Pramodita Sharma, University of Vermont, US, both of whom are major researchers internationally. Moreover, the Chair has built good relationships with the faculty at Bond University (Australia), Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (both HK), Cass Business School (UK) and the Witten Institute for Family Business (Germany).
The Thomas Schmidheiny Centre for Family Enterprise continues to build on activities with a number of major industry organizations by delivering a number of lectures at several programmes which involved the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) and other industry assocations. The Centre for Family Enterprise also advises the CII on its publications related to family business. In addition, Professor Ramachandran, Executive Director, has been associated with the annual global summits of the Family Business Network (FBN) International in different capacities since 2007.
