Adi Godrej is Chairman of The Godrej Group. The Godrej Group is a mainly privately held, over a 100 year-old family conglomerate, with operations in India and several other countries.
Mr. Godrej is Chairman of the Board of the Indian School of Business, and Past President of the Confederation of Indian Industry. He has been a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council of the MIT Sloan School of Management and a member of the Wharton Asian Executive Board. He is also the Chairman of the Urban Institute of India. Ajit Rangnekar is the Dean of the Indian School of Business (ISB). As the Dean, Rangnekar steers the School’s vision to be among the globally top-ranked, research-driven management institutions. He believes that his role is to attract top quality research faculty to the School, create an environment in which research of high impact to academia and society is carried out, and to support the transformational development of the School’s students and alumni.
Prior to taking charge as Dean, he was the Deputy Dean of the ISB from March 2003 to January 2009, and was instrumental in strengthening the School’s relationships with the external stakeholders - industry, policy makers, entrepreneurs, and experts.
Rangnekar has a background spanning over thirty years in Consulting and Industry across different countries in Asia. Before joining the ISB, he was the Country Head, first for Price Waterhouse Consulting and then for PwC Consulting, in Hong Kong and the Philippines. He was head of the Telecom and Entertainment Industry Consulting practice for PwC in East Asia (China to Indonesia). He worked with Associated Cements Companies, India (1970 to 1981) prior to moving to Hong Kong.
Rangnekar holds an undergraduate degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, before completing his post-graduation in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.

Anil Rai Gupta is the Chairman and Managing Director of Havells India Limited, a $1.3 billion FMEG (Fast Moving Electrical Goods) conglomerate. Havells is one of the fastest growing FMEG companies in India and has evolved into a socially and environmentally responsible global company with a leading presence in each product segment it is present in.
Anil Joined Havells in 1992. He designed, articulated and implemented marketing strategy that transformed the company from just a family brand to a global brand, revered for its technology, innovation, customer friendliness and product range. He honed his entrepreneurial skills under the tutelage of his father and Founder Chairman, Late Sh. Qimat Rai Gupta.
In 2003, Anil guided the company to diversify from being a pure Industrial Product Company to also a Consumer Product Company. His foresightedness helped company glide through the storm of global economic crisis in 2008 and Havells continued to book profits. Anil took forward the vision of his father and played a key role in modernising of plants and overall infrastructure. Today, Havells has the best infrastructure and most modern plants across the entire electrical Industry in India.
He was instrumental in the new business development through alliances and acquisitions. In 2007, he led the effort of acquiring Sylvania, a US $600 million German lighting systems and fixtures company. Sylvania at that time was 1.5 times bigger than Havells. This acquisition helped Havells moved from domestic shores to become one of world’s largest lighting companies. Havells has since grown in brand stature, revenues and leadership position.
Anil graduated in Economics from Sri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University and then went on to pursue MBA (Marketing and Finance) from Wake Forest University, North Carolina, USA. Not only was he amongst the top five students in the graduating class in Wake Forest University, he was also awarded the “Babcock Award” for excellence in academics, integrity and leadership. Further, he was elected as the Vice President of the Students Government Association in his University.
A firm believer of giving back to the society, Anil with the blessings from his father initiated the Mid-day meal programme through QRG foundation. Every day, the foundation provides hygienic and nutritious food to over 50000 school children across 666 government schools in Alwar district of Rajasthan. QRG Foundation has taken the mandate to provide sanitation facilities especially for girls in all the schools where it provides mid-day meal in order to provide an ideal environment for education.
A firm believer of power of education, Anil believes that a study of liberal arts is essential in shaping leaders of the future. With this thought, he became one of the founding members of India’s first liberal Arts university- Ashoka University.
Besides wiring Havells’ aggressive global future, Anil also takes keen interest in music and playing golf. He lives in Delhi with his wife and two children.

Feroz Rahim is Group Managing Director, Rahimafrooz (Bangladesh) Ltd., a family business conglomerate in Bangladesh. Professor Ramachandran is the Thomas Schmidheiny Chair Professor of Family Business and Wealth Management at the Indian School of Business. He has specialized in family business, entrepreneurship and strategy and has over 33 years of experience as an academic. He obtained a Ph.D. from the Cranfield School of Management, UK in 1986 on a comparative study of the small enterprise policies of Japan, UK and India. He has done research on family business, entrepreneurship and strategy, and has authored/edited six books and published extensively in reputed Indian and overseas journals. His consulting experience includes areas such as family business governance, professionalization, succession planning, strategic planning, and identification of new opportunities for growth, corporate entrepreneurship and turn around strategies in family and non-family environments. After initial years in industry, he has been a faculty at the Tata Management Training Centre, Pune for 5 years, and later Professor at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad for 13 years. He has been visiting faculty at the Case Western Reserve University for a year and Guest Professor at the University of Bamberg, Germany for close to two years.
He has helped several organizations in the areas of change, leadership and organization development. A member of the founding family, Sangita Reddy joined the Apollo Hospitals Group in 1983 as a management Trainee. She later assumed the role of an Executive Assistant to her father, Dr. Prathap C Reddy, Chairman, Apollo Hospitals Group. She gained rich experience and developed sound knowledge of healthcare ecosystem. In 2002, the Women's Business Connection (WBC) in Singapore honored her with “Woman Inspire 2002 Award” for her contributions in Information Technology in Asia Pacific. In November 2009, at the Asia Pacific Entrepreneur Awards 2009 - Indonesia ceremony organized by Enterprise Asia, she received the “Woman Entrepreneur of the year 2009” award. In 2013 she was acknowledged with Widya Jasa Utama by the Institute of Technology Bandung (ITB).
Shanti graduated as a Diplom Ingenieur in Electronics Engineering with a specialization in Computer Science from Institute of Technology Munich, Germany in 1974.

Dr. P. S. Srinivas currently heads the World Bank's Trade & Competitiveness Global Practice in Asia which provides advice, lending, and knowledge services and products to client countries in Asia and focuses on increasing economic growth and creating better jobs; improvements in business environment for firms including SMEs; and enhancing productivity and competitiveness of firms, sectors, and countries. He also has extensive experience in the financial sector having worked for more than twenty two years on issues relating to financial institutions, capital markets, infrastructure finance, and financial inclusion. His earlier responsibilities included heading the Latin America and Caribbean and Indonesia teams of the World Bank in financial and private sector development. He has also worked at the Asian Development Bank and ICICI, India and served as Associate Professor and Visiting Professor at the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. He has an MA and PhD in Economics from Cornell University, New York; an MBA from the IIM, Ahmedabad; and a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering from the IIT, Madras.

Dr. Sougata Ray is a Professor of Strategic Management at the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIMC) and recently served as the Dean of the Institute. Sougata blends nearly two and half decades of experiences in diverse roles – a frontline executive in a Maharatna State Owned Enterprise, in a strategic role in an emerging market MNC at a senior management level as General Manager and Head of Innovation Labs, a researcher, visiting scholar, teacher and institution builder in some of the finest institutions in India and abroad, corporate advisor to a number of companies and technology start-ups in India and abroad, an independent director in the Boards of Indian Oil and Tata Group Companies, and the member or Chairman of the Audit Committees thereof, President and Chairman of the Governing Board of an NGO – Parivaar Education Society, Member, Governing Board of Child in Need Institute (CINI) and as Principal Consultant to leading International Development Agencies such as DANIDA and UNFPA. He regularly delivers talks in meetings organized by industry bodies such as Confederation of Indian Industry, American Chamber of Commerce and National Association of Software Services Companies, Society of Human Resource Management, etc., has conducted scores of short and long duration executive education programmes and workshops in India and abroad and led more than a dozen senior level executive delegations to multiple countries in every continent for high level meetings with the Ministries, Chambers of Commerce, Industrial Organizations, Research Labs and Academic Institutions.
Sougata specializes on strategy, international business, innovations, and entrepreneurship of emerging economy firms and has been researching extensively on how policy induced changes in institutional environment influence strategic behaviour of developing economy firms and how differences in quasi institutional environment, heterogeneity of firm characteristics and strategic intent of the top management lead to variations in strategy for growth, internationalization, innovations, and sustainability of firms. He has written many research papers, monographs, book chapters, case studies and published in top tier international journals such as Global Strategy Journal, Organization Science, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of International Management and Management International Review and presented papers in leading management and strategy conferences. He has also authored a few award winning case studies. He has served in the editorial board and editorial review board of several leading international journals and organized prestigious international conferences as Co-Chair or member of the organizing Committee. He is also a member of the Academy of Management, Academy of International Business, Strategic Management Society and Society of Entrepreneurship Educators.

Thomas Schmidheiny is chairman and founder of his family office Spectrum Value Management. Spectrum manages the investments of the Schmidheiny family.
After studying mechanical engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETHZ), Dr h.c. Schmidheiny began his career as Technical Director with Cementos Apasco (1970-1971). In 1973 he joined “Holderbank” Financière Glaris Ltd. (which became Holcim), where he served as Managing Director and Chairman (1978-2001) and Chairman of the Board (1984-2003). He continues to be a member of the Holcim Board of Directors, and is member of the Holcim Governance, Nomination & Compensation Committee. He is a principal stockholder of Holcim.
Dr. Schmidheiny is also a board member and major shareholder of the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz and Chairman of the Ernst Schmidheiny Foundation for public education, amongst others. He received an honorary Doctorate of Business Administration from Tufts University (USA) and holds an MBA from IMD. His particular interest is philanthropy: he engages in large donations and sponsoring to business schools, arts, education and start-ups through his foundations.
