Felicitating ISB Kids

Paying a tribute to the invaluable presence of 30 children who lived on the ISB campus for the last one year, a colourful, musical and memorable evening was organised by the Spouses and Families Association (SFA), at the ISB.

With Graduation Day around the corner, the mixed mood of the parents, all students from the Class of 2008, was that of jubilation at being together again, and nostalgic while recalling the time that their young ones spent at the ISB.

These kids have been a source of inspiration and endless joy for all the parents, and even the other students, through their entire stay at the ISB. Be it social functions or festivities, the tiny tots made the scene vibrant, and brought the much needed lulling breather. It was so natural to see them being wheeled in their prams around the Atrium, they making noise in the School cafeteria, mothers helping them down the slide in the Tiny-tots play corner etc. Interestingly, around 10 babies were born on campus during the last one year!

Present on that beautiful evening, to cheer the ISB kids, were Dean M R Rao, Uma Rao, Deputy Dean Ajit Rangnekar, and Associate Dean Savita Mahajan.

So little Muskan, Shimon, Sai Yadav, Reva, and Rishi, were seen on the Recreation Grounds Lawn of the ISB, all dressed in flattering clothes, frolicking away to the delight of proud parents, who kept the shutter-bug on in an attempt to capture every little moment at the ISB.

An exceptionally well organised cultural programme by the SFA saw a heart warming invocation song by tiny Priyanka, small bundles of joy swaying in and out of rhythm to Hakuna Matata, and another hot favourite kid song ‘Bum Bum Bole’. Oblivious to the world, sans any pretext, the little wonders took part in a fashion parade, some walking away from the stage, as harried mothers ran around to bring them back.

The Deputy Dean did the honours of giving away small mementos to all the children, acknowledging their priceless contribution to life at the ISB, which has always focused on a wholesome and family-centric spirit. The whole environ was that of a joint family, each cheering the other, and taking pride in the collective effort of their little ones.

The ISB will miss their prattle and presence.
