A new generation of corporate executives and entrepreneurs pass out of ISB
ICICI Bank MD & CEO, Chanda Kochhar Chief Guest at ISB Graduation Day 2016

The Indian School of Business (ISB) conducted the Graduation day ceremony of the Class of 2016 of the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) and the Class of 2015 of the Post Graduate Programme in Management for Senior Executives (PGPMAX) on Friday, April 8, 2016 at its Hyderabad campus.

Chanda Kochhar, ICICI Bank’s MD & CEO was the Chief Guest at the ceremony where Adi Godrej, Chairman of the ISB Board, Professor Rajendra Srivastava, Dean, ISB, members of the ISB Executive Board, dignitaries from the industry and academia, students and their families, faculty, alumni and staff of the ISB also participated.

Expressing happiness ahead of the Graduation Day, Professor Rajendra Srivastava, Dean, ISB said, "The day marks the culmination of a rigorous and action packed year filled with learning, networking, growth and career progress and signifies a step forward for our graduating students. They rightfully deserve the rewards and recognition that Graduation Day brings and it is both a pleasure and an honour to share this celebration with them. I am positive that our students will carry their learning to their professional lives and enrich their workplaces with their achievements."

ISB's Hyderabad campus was a scene of festivities and happy faces and emotional moments with farewell parties, group photos, selfies, and celebrations adding to the mood. Family members exchanged notes of the success of their wards and immensely enjoyed the graduation ceremony.

The School gave away the Young Leaders and Torch bearer awards to students who had demonstrated leadership skills, and all round excellence through the year. The toppers of the class were honoured and Professor of the year awards were given away.

The Indian School of Business (ISB) celebrated the Graduation day of the Class of 2016 of the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) and the Class of 2015 of the Management Programme in Family Business (MFAB), at its Mohali campus today. Rahul Bhatia, Group Managing Director of Interglobe Enterprises and the man behind Indigo airlines marked his presence as the Chief Guest at the event.
 
The day was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm, with students receiving their certificates and posing proudly in their graduation regalia. Adi Godrej, Chairman of the ISB Board, Professor Rajendra Srivastava, Dean, ISB, Pradeep Singh, CEO Mohali campus and Deputy Dean, ISB, other members of the ISB Board,  were seen celebrating the day along with the students, families, faculty, staff and other respected dignitaries.
 
This year 238 students from PGP Class of 2016 and 37 MFAB Class of 2015 passed out from the Mohali campus. 15 students from the PGP 2016 are currently on international exchange programmes
 
Rahul Bhatia, Group Managing Director, Interglobe Enterprises gave away the certificates to the graduating students and wished them good luck in their future endeavours. Sharing his experiences on organisational building, he said, “Planning is the key to success. Successful companies break down complex processes into several small processes & then execute them well.’
“Have the honesty of purpose and the resolve to practice it all the times”, he added advising the students.
 
Addressing the cheering students Professor Rajendra Srivastava, Dean, ISB said,“ Keep expanding your horizons and continue to learn along the way. Continue to adhere to the same standards of excellence that you learnt here. Carry forward the spirit of enterprise and create businesses, establish new enterprises and lead people in contributing to a better and equitable society. Do all of this with humility and kindness and share your good fortune with others less fortunate.”
 
Sharing his advice with the graduating students, Adi Godrej, Chairman ISB Board said,” I urge you to be responsible towards the society we live in.  Please do remember that being good managers is the basic requirement but being good leaders is what will ultimately matter.

Please lay a lot of emphasis on integrity, not just financial integrity but also intellectual integrity”

Students
ISB Scholar of Excellence 
Nikesh Murjani was given ISB Scholar of Excellence. The ISB Scholar of Excellence is awarded in recognition of outstanding academic performance throughout the year.
 
Chairman’s All Rounder Award
The Chairman’s All Rounder award was given to Shubham Gupta, In addition, the ‘ISB Young Leaders’ and ‘ISB Torchbearer’ awards were given to students who have demonstrated leadership skills, and all round excellence through the year.
The Best Club awards were given to Business Technology Club (Professional Club) and the Quiz Club (Social Club)
 
Dean’s List
The Dean’s List comprises students who make it to the top ten percentile of the Class for their academic accomplishments. This year a total of 88 students were announced combining both the campuses
 
Professor of the year
 
Students also voted for their favorite faculty for the year through the Professor of the Year awards. Professor Anjani Jain was given “Professor of the Year Award for Core Courses” and Professor Piyush Kumar was awarded with the “Professor of the Year for Elective Courses”
 
Academic Associate of the year for PGP and MFAB awards were also given by students through preferential nominations for supporting students in their learning through out the year
 
With the passing out of the PGP Class of 2016, PGPMAX Class of 2015 and MFAB 2015, the family of ISB alumni grows to over 7500 based in 120 cities across the world.
 
The Hyderabad campus hosted the Graduation Day of the PGP Class of 2016 and PGPMAX Class of 2015 on April 8, 2016.  Chanda Kochhar, Managing Director and CEO, ICICI Bank was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
