AP State Museum

Originally the museum was known as "Hyderabad museum". Today it is known as the A P State Museum, located in the Public Garden of Hyderabad City. This is the oldest museum in Hyderabad. The museum has the two main galleries of Buddhist and Hindu sculpture. The Buddhist antiquities are dated to 2nd CAD to 3rd CAD. The Hindu sculptural gallery represents the sculptures of Chalukyan period by Vijayanagara period.

Birla Planetarium

The B M Birla Planetarium was the first phase of the Science Centre. It was inaugurated in 1985. Not only it is one of the best attended Planetaria in the world, it has also been acclaimed to be amongst the very best with a better rating than those in Europe, USA, Far East, Soviet Republics and elsewhere.

Birla Science Museum

The B M Birla Sience Museum was the second phase of the Centre opened in 1990. It is a unique facility which includes a Participatory Science Nuseum as also an Archaeology and Fine Arts section. It showcases India's own acievements in Science, in collaboration with Govt of India separtments like the Department of Ocean Development and the Indian Space Research Organisation.

Birla Dinosaurium
The Dinosaurium was the next phase of the Centre. It is truly a breathtaking faciltiy which dispalys a rare and magnificent fossil of the dinosaur, Kotasurus, belonging to the lower jurassic age, going back to about 160 million years.

Nizam's Jubilee Pavilion Museum

One of the most important places of tourist delight in Hyderabad is Nizam's Jubilee Pavilion Museum. It is situated near Purani Haveli, a place acquired by Nizam II around 1750. The museum has a vast collection of objects including gifts and mementos presented to the last Nizam on the occasion of the silver jubilee celebrations in 1936.

Salarjung Museum

The Salar Jung Museum was established in 1951. The major portion of the collection of the museum was acquired by Mir Yousuf Ali Khan, popularly known as Salar Jung III. The collections of the Salar Jung Museum are the mirrors of the past human environment, ranging from 2nd century B.C to early 20th century A.D of different cultures such as Greek, Roman, Hindu, Jain, Buddhist, Christian and Islamic of various countries and of various materials. The collection of the Museum can be divided into Indian Art, Middle Eastern Art, Far Eastern Art, European Art and Children’s Section.
