Narayan Ramachandran
Country Head and Chief Executive Officer
Morgan Stanley India
Narayan Ramachandran is the Country Head of Morgan Stanley in India,
leading all of the Group's businesses. He returned to India in 2006
as Chief Executive Officer of Morgan Stanley Investment Management.
Prior to these roles, Ramachandran was the Head and Co-Lead Portfolio
Manager of Morgan Stanley’s Global Emerging Markets and Global Asset
Allocation teams, managing over $25 billion in assets. He joined
Morgan Stanley in 1996 and has 20 years of investment experience.
Before joining the firm, he was the Managing Director at Rogers Casey
(now CRA Rogers Casey). In addition, Ramachandran was Director of
Research at Rogers Casey and President of its investment advisory
subsidiary. Previously, he was a research associate at Goldman
Sachs. Ramachandran has written articles for the academic and trade
press, and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences. He
received a BTech in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute
of Technology, Bombay and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
Ramachandran holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He is a
Director of Impax Corporation, Dyansys Inc , MNR Filters, Ocean
Sparkle, Geist Research and Beerworks Restaurants.
Prasad Kaipa
Executive Director, Centre for Leadership, Innovation and Change
(CLIC)
Indian School of Business (ISB)
Prasad splits his time between his role as the Executive Director of
the Center for Leadership, Innovation and Change (CLIC) at Indian
School of Business (ISB) Hyderabad and Kaipa Group consulting
practice. CLIC is an applied research center focussing on integral
approach (marrying lessons from wisdom traditions to traditional
management approaches and scientific approaches) to develop global
leaders. Prasad Kaipa has been an advisor and coach since 1990 for
over 100 CEOs, executive team members and board members in Fortune
500 companies like Disney, Adobe, Sun, Boeing and also
entrepreneurial/ International companies like Aztec, BAE Systems,
Lunar Design, Mastek, Olixir, Scintera Networks, Aankhen, Polaris
and VARStreet. Prasad co-founded Entrepreneur Institute for the TiE
(The Indus Entrepreneurs) in 2002 and over 13,000 entrepreneurs have
gone through its programmes so far. He is a part-time faculty in the
areas of Organisational Systems, Creativity and Innovation; and
Developmental and Cognitive Psychology at the Saybrook Graduate
School and a Visiting Professor in the areas of leadership,
mindsets, and change management in the ISB. Prasad was/is on the board
of directors/trustees for Society for Organisational Learning
(created around Peter Senge’s learning organisation concepts), i-Mantri, Aankhen, Hindu University of North America, Integral
Leadership Review, Intertec Communications and Catalyst.
The purpose of Prasad’s coaching is to ignite the genius within
individuals, clarify and align individual aspirations with their
corporate objectives. Prasad’s unique competence is in helping
his clients find their next significant step and take it. Prasad
advises and coaches his clients to become clear about what they
aspire for and what their core incompetence is. He assists them in
becoming effective in managing people and also managing oneself
(personal mastery); get reenergised and build new capacities; and
explore more risk taking and make innovative and strategic
decisions.
Prasad also worked with companies like Boeing, Disney, Mobil, Ford,
Sun, Pepsi (Quaker Oats), Navteq, BAE Systems, Sasken, Syngenta,
Mastek, Union Bank, Canara Bank and AT&T (Pacific Bell) in the areas
of change management, innovation and management team development.
Executives from companies like Cisco and HP have worked with Prasad
in developing knowledge business models for creating a new business
and in coming up with unique, “brandable” product design that is
consistent with their culture. Prasad has also developed approaches
and tools that allow executives to “map the genetic code of
organisations” so that they can ‘re-wire’ their organisations for
superior performance.
As a senior manager in Apple, Prasad was asked to create an
educational menu for Apple technical staff using innovative learning
approaches. Later, as a research fellow in the Apple University,
with a charter to help design ‘a learning processor that augments
human intelligence,’ Prasad interviewed high achievers and
exceptional people researching how people learn and ‘unlearn.’
Prasad originally got his doctorate in Physics (optical information
storage materials) and as a Professor in the University of Utah,
helped build an international research laboratory with Dr Ed
Haskell (1981-87). Prasad also worked as an Educator (Saybrook
Institute 1994-), as a Manager in international product marketing
(1987-88) and a technology advisor and research fellow (1988-90)
(Apple) and received several awards for his contributions. Athena
Interactive released three award winning CD-ROMs for leaders based
on his learning interface concepts and his pyramid building
(thinking in three dimensions) methodology.

Prasad is married to Dr Vinoda and is father of Pravin (22) and

T V Mohandas Pai
Member of the Board and Director-Human Resources

T V Mohandas Pai is Member of the Board and Director-Human
Resources, Education and Research and Administration. Pai joined
Infosys in 1994 and has served as a Member of the Board since May
2000. He served as the Chief Financial Officer from 1994 to 2006. In
2006, he voluntarily remitted the office of CFO to lead efforts in
the areas of Human Resources and Education & Research.
During his tenure as CFO, Pai played a strategic role in
transforming Infosys to one of the world’s most respected and
widely-known software services companies. He put in place the
country’s first publicly articulated financial policy for the
company and played a key role in branding the company among the
investor community and enhancing transparency and disclosure levels.
The Infosys Annual Report, under his supervision, has won the Best
Presented Annual Accounts Award from the Institute of Chartered
Accountants of India for ten years in succession as well as from the
South Asia Federation of Accountants (2000).
Pai was an integral part of the Infosys team that enabled the first
listing of an India-registered company on NASDAQ and the first
sponsored secondary offering of American Depositary Shares by an
Indian company. He was voted ‘CFO of the Year’ in 2001 by IMA India
(formerly EIU India) and American Express. He won the “Best CFO in
India” award from Finance Asia in 2002, and “Best Chief Financial
Officer in India” in the Asia Money Best Managed Companies Poll
2004.
Pai has been active in working with regulators to improve the
business ecosystem. He was also a member of the Kelkar Committee
constituted by the Ministry of Finance, Government of India (GoI)
for reforming direct taxes, the Non-Resident Taxation Committee, the
High Powered Committee on e-commerce and taxation. He is currently a
member of the SEBI Accounting Standards sub-committee and the
Empowered Committee for setting up the Tax Information Network of
the GoI. He also works with the Union and State Governments in the
fields of education, information technology and business. Pai is
also a Trustee of the International Accounting Standards Committee
Foundation, the body that oversees the International Accounting
Standards Board.
In addition to his current responsibilities, he is working with
governments and decision-makers across India to improve the quality
of education and availability of skilled manpower in India. He is
also involved in Akshaya Patra Foundation, a project that provides
mid-day meals to over 450,000 children across India, and which aims
to reach out to one million children.
Pai has a bachelor’s degree in commerce (BCom) from St Joseph’s
College of Commerce, Bangalore and a bachelor’s degree in law (LLB)
from Bangalore University. He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA).
Flt Lt Bipin Chandra

Flt Lt Bipin Chandra is a highly respected thought leader in the IT
services and BPO industry. He joined Knoah at its early stage and
has been instrumental in building it to its current strength over
the past 6 years. The positive customer relationships with Knoah, is
a reflection of his commitment to service excellence and customer
orientation.
Chandra has 17 years of executive management experience in diverse
areas like Operations, Programme Management, Client management,
Software Product Development, Quality, HRD, Finance and
Administration.
Prior to joining the Knoah team, Chandra was General Manager at
PortalPlayer Inc, a global leader in delivering digital media
infrastructure solutions (hardware and firmware suite). He played a
key role in building India operations and coordinated the successful
delivery of platform solutions to customers worldwide. Prior to
PortalPlayer, Chandra held senior management and engineering roles
with SoftSol Inc, Mahindra-British Telecom (currently Tech Mahindra),
and Datapro and also completed a successful tenure as a commissioned
officer with the Indian Air Force, working on surface to air
missiles and electronic warfare.
Chandra is the proud recipient of "Personnel Manager of the Year"
award from Hyderabad Management Association (HMA) during its 32nd
annual awards function in 2005. He holds the distinction of being
the “Youngest Instructor” at the premier GWTI (Guided Weapon
Training Institute) during his tenure with Indian Air Force. He has
also received “Exemplary Service” awards at PortalPlayer and
Mahindra British Telecom (currently Tech Mahindra).
Bipin has done his graduation in Electronics and Communication
Engineering, Diploma in Management and PG Diploma in TQM. He is
currently pursuing 3-year MBA program from XIMB (Xavier Institute of
Management, Bhubaneshwar).
