LEADING IN TODAY’S ECONOMY: THE MULTI-CULTURAL ADVANTAGE

In this current market, India is quickly becoming the place of choice for global companies to do business. Indian firms are creating footprints across the globe, but more importantly, non-Indian firms are constantly looking here to grow their businesses in this emerging market. Everyone can see the vast potential, but in order to make this a reality; working relationships need to be created. There is a significant difference between the way India and Europe or the US do business, and understanding that difference will be essential to sustaining growth in this market; things like perception of the value of time, or the intertwining of business and personal meetings. The better these companies understand each other, the sooner they can synergise and move towards profitability and efficiency.

What ISB brings to the table is the huge range of experience of its students working in cross-cultural teams across the globe including US firms like Microsoft and Ford, UK firms like Prudential, as well as Indian firms like TCS and Infosys. The ILS brings prominent CEOs in contact with students to provide their insight into the Indian market and psyche, and how we can leverage our strengths to succeed in the international arena.
