ISB Radio makes waves
ISB Radio’s Beta launch finally rolled out. A full fledged student body and SFA (Spouses & Families Association) managed initiative, the ISB in-house radio is an online streaming radio, which can be accessed only within the ISB network.
This radio initiative is a platform for the students, faculty, alums, industry and staff at the ISB to connect with each other. The programmes plan to cover campus news, chat shows with faculty (both on campus and visiting), alums and students, placement news, placement related preparation tips, events organised by different clubs at the ISB, views from and about the ISB. Of course the masti factor, assorted gossip, and youthful programmes will find ample space. Dramas and plays, by the Drama Club at ISB, mimicry shows and jokes will be the other crowd pullers. Play on ISB Radio.
Christmas, carols, and celebrations
This Christmas the campus air resounded with plenty of colour, music and mirth. The atrium and the Student’s Village wore the traditional red and green look with decorated Christmas trees .The Student Choir kept the Yuletide spirit intact as they organized a carol singing night, visiting various Student Villages. They were accompanied by the quintessential Santa Claus, who had bagful of surprises for the little ones.

The entourage comprising students, spouses, faculty members, children, filled the air with hymns and happiness.
This year, the Christmas celebrations coincided with Solstice 2007, the annual ISB alumni reunion. Alums from all over the world, celebrated Christmas at their favourite campus with joy and nostalgia. One could not miss them, moving around campus, in red Christmas caps.
Silicon Valley Women Entrepreneurs share notes
A group of women entrepreneurs and executives from Silicon Valley, visited the ISB. Some of the notable women were - Lakshmi Pratury, Founder and CEO, Tamarind Grove, who led a team that brought digital education to over 80,000 children and 2,000 teachers in India; Simi Ahuja, Managing Partner, SA&Associates, who strives to raise awareness and visibility for South Asian women in the marketplace and media; Carol Daly, VP Business Development, Ricoh Innovations, who builds new-market strategies and M&A opportunities; Nancy Duarte, Principal, Duarte Design and many others. The group held discussion with the ISB students and also gave entrepreneurial tips. Their trip to India was all about “getting a sense of business, art, culture, academics, and community organisations and to combine the raw material and talent of the East with the sense of quality and best practices of the West and to form partnerships and draw synergies.”
