Faculty Initiated Research Project (FIRP)
The Indian School of Business (ISB) encourages faculty members to involve students in their research, which provides significant mutual learning opportunities. Such research projects are designed and supervised by the faculty, and completed within a short period of time. These are different from the Independent Study projects, which are initiated by the students themselves.
A maximum of two students can work together on one FIRP under the guidance of a resident faculty member or one of the visiting faculty or visiting scholars teaching on the programme. It is a two-credit elective, which is counted towards graduation requirements (not Concentration Area requirements) and also considered in the GPA/CGPA calculations.
