The Emerging Markets Club is an endeavour by the students
of the Indian Business School to develop a platform
for understanding these markets and then leveraging
the developed knowledge base. The club has the following
objectives:
- To build a knowledge bank of information on emerging
markets
- To organize a paper writing contest on a topic
of relevance to challenges and opportunities in emerging
markets
- To promote an awareness of the interplay between
government, society and business in emerging markets
- To reach out to international schools who would
like to collaborate to further an understanding of
emerging markets, and how they will evolve
- To understand the impact of globalization and reforms
on the business environment in emerging markets.
Emerging Markets provide an ideal platform for entrepreneurial-minded
individuals to participate in a dynamic environment
that offers a high level of risk and responsibility.
Hence the aim of the Emerging Markets Club is to enable
young professionals such as ourselves, the potential
opportunity to fashion a profound and more immediate
impact.
