FAQ

What happens at the ISB SAP Jumpstart Social Enterprise?

The ISB SAP Jumpstart Social Enterprise is a collaborative initiative of the Centre of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Indian School of Business and SAP Labs to incubate and support high potential social enterprises through a series of capacity building workshops and mentor engagement sessions.

How can we be a part of the programme?
To qualify for the programme, early stage social ventures will be invited to apply and put through a selection process that will include experts from ISB, SAP and other industry experts.
Apply for the ISB SAP JSE programme by 15th October, 2016, 5 PM (IST).

Do we need to submit a business plan?
Yes. Check out the application form that details out the various types of information that you will need to share to be considered for the programme. In addition to this, you will also need to submit a 15 slide pitch deck clearly outlining your vision and objectives, strategic and operational plan and metrics for impact measurement.

Will you sign an NDA so we know you won't steal our idea?
No. We won't sign an NDA. No venture firm would at this stage. However, we do make an informal commitment that your idea will not be shared externally without your permission. Please do not share the details of IP (if any) as part of the application. That is as much a commitment as any venture firm or investor would make at this point.

Can we submit more than one application?

Yes. You can submit as many applications as you want as long as you can provide all the requisite details for each.

Will you offer admission to multiple startups working on the same idea?
Our aim is to support five high potential social entrepreneurs and we could incubate start-ups working on the same idea. However, we urge you to differentiate yourself as much as possible so we know that you are unique and could gain immense value from the support that we would provide you.

What type of startups will we support?
If you are an early stage registered startup (that is, in operations for more than 12 months), work in the social sector and have a business to scale up, then your application will be considered for this programme.
