A Blood Donation Camp was successfully organised by the Net Impact Club at the Indian School of Business’ (ISB) Mohali campus on May 27, 2014. Organised in collaboration with the Rotary and Blood Bank Society, the drive saw participation from students, family members and staff. All in all 114 people donated their blood to the noble cause. A brief medical check-up was done prior to the donation and refreshments were offered to all the donors who were guided by volunteers at every step. With a large turnout and the limitless enthusiasm of the donors the event was a huge success.
Prabh Aasra Visit: Attempting to understand the challenges of Non-Profit Organisations

25 volunteers from the Net Impact Club at the Indian School of Business (ISB) Mohali Campus, visited “Prabh Aasra-a home for the helpless” on Saturday, June 28, 2014. The visit was to sensitize the ISB community towards the requirements, goals and challenges of such organizations and their beneficiaries. Prabh Aasra has admitted 1000 destitute till November 2013 ,out of which 720 have been discharged or reunited with families, following great efforts by the organization.
The evening was a moving exchange between volunteers and inhabitants with the former providing refreshments and entertainment and latter showcasing their indomitable spirit through song, dance and general merriment. The Net Impact Club thanks S Shamsher Singh and Smt Rajinder Kaur for this opportunity and hopes to continue its association with the inspirational organization in the future.
Net Impact Inauguration and a “Talk on Social Entrepreneurship organized by Global Shapers Chandigarh Hub

The Net Impact Club- Indian School of Business(ISB) Chapter, was formally inaugurated on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at ISB Mohali Campus. The evening began with a inaugural address by the new president of the Net Impact Club, Shruti Kirti Sharma followed by a presentation by the “Global Shapers Chandigarh Hub” highlighting their initiatives and programs.
The keynote speaker for the evening was Anshu Gupta, founder of “Goonj” and Recipient of “Social Entrepreneur of the Year Award”.
Chalo Padhe- The Weekend School
The Net Impact Club announces the commencement of its new initiative 'Chalo Padhe', a weekend school at ISB to help the children of the Housekeeping staff and security guards with homework on the weekends. The details of the proposed classes are below:
Frequency: Once a week on Sundays, Timings: 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Location: lecture theaters.

Bandhan 2014, “Because there is a Leader in every Child and a child in every leader

This annual Independence Day event gives the ISB fraternity an unparalleled opportunity to play host to two hundred under privileged children from six different NGO’s. The initiative involves activities organized by the Net Impact Club at ISB (Mohali Campus) in association with other social Clubs like the Quiz Club, Sports Club, Music Club, Dance Club, Theatre Club etc. The activities include games such as kite flying, lemon race, sack race and workshops on Dance, Music, Art & Craft. These are designed to challenge the creativity of the children, to teach them dance forms like Bhangra.; all while bringing a smile on their faces!
A cultural show is in store for the evening to specially showcase the talents of the children through performances of song, dance and skit. The Net Impact extends a warm invitation to the entire ISB community to wholeheartedly participate in making this event a grand success.
ISB Joyathon'14 - where we ran miles to create smiles

An initiative of Net Impact - the social responsibility club at ISB, Joyathon was organised to create awareness about ‘Daan Utsav’ and to encourage the residents of the Tricity to become more socially responsible and give back to the society in whatever way possible. Prominent faces of Chandigarh - Vivek Atray, IAS, Advocate Mac Sarin and his wife Niti Sarin flagged off the run. Runners participated in two categories in the marathon - 5km and 10km around Sukhna Lake. The students of the Yadavindra Public School also presented a skit based on the theme of 'Giving' after the conclusion of the marathon at the Sukhna Lake.
ISB also collaborated with other organisations in Chandigarh to promote the act of giving during Daan Utsav - which is celebrated from October 2-8 every year. These include the Blood Bank Society Chandigarh, Startup Accelerator Chamber of Commerce, Yadvindra Public School, and St John’s High School, that are also undertaking lots of activities in the region.
