Competitions and Awards

ISB Young Leaders and Torchbearers Awards
These awards are a tribute to the ISB students who have demonstrated extraordinary ability, leadership, commitment and quality of participation in campus life. They are portrayed to the recruiters along the same lines as the Dean’s list. All awardees are invited to the campus during orientation week to hand over the baton to the next batch.

Services rendered by students voluntarily, during their stay towards Admissions, CAS, B-school events, brand building, fund raising, community and student events, are considered for the award. The contributions by these Young Leaders and Torchbearers are formally acknowledged at a ceremony held a day before the Graduation Day.

ELP Peak Impact Award
The Experiential Learning Programme (ELP) allows student teams to work with industry partners on real-world business issues, giving them the chance to apply their learning outside the classroom setting. The ELP Golden Consultant Award is an award of distinction given to a team that displays extraordinary consulting skills during the course of the project. In particular, weightage is given to teams that demonstrate the value of their work in quantifiable terms.

Business Plan Competition
The Business Plan Competition, jointly organised by the Wadhwani Centre for Entrepreneurship Development and the Entrepreneurship and VC Club, provides students the opportunity of working on a business plan from start to finish. Students get a chance to develop and test their skills at planning and leadership. This gives you the necessary know-how when you set out to practice your entrepreneurial skills on a truly live project.

Global Social Venture Competition
The ISB believes in contributing to the development of vibrant entrepreneurial ventures in the social sector. The Global Social Venture Competition (GSVC) provides students the chance to contribute to the community by creating an entrepreneurial venture that has a clear social objective. The competition is organised by the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, the Columbia Business School and the London Business School, and is supported by the Goldman Sachs Foundation. The ISB is one of the partners for the competition and has the responsibility of promoting the competition in Asia and organising the Asia Round.

The ISB students are also invited to take part in a number of competitions organised by other B-schools across the country and abroad. The following are some of the competitions in which ISB students bagged the honours this year:

  • Srijan-Stratagem: The IT/Consulting Case Study (First Prize)
