The ISB believes that business leaders and their organisations are full partners in the community and society, and a management programme would be incomplete without an awareness of social issues.
The student-run Net Impact Club supports a school for underprivileged children, providing stationery and study material to students and paying the salaries of two teachers. Funds are raised through various innovative on-campus drives. The Spouses and Families Association (SFA) conducts an adult education programme for garden workers on campus. Teachers are drawn from among the students and staff ,and funds are raised for buying teaching materials by selling old newspapers to recyclers.
The Experiential Learning Programme (ELP) projects for non-profit and government agencies are provided at highly subsidised rates. Some of the organisations that students have worked closely with are:- Moolchand Hospital, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, SHARE Microfinance, Dept of Economic Affairs, Government of Andhra Pradesh, Institute for Rural Health Studies, Centre for Good Governance, Ankuram Sangamam Poram, AP First, Securities and Exchange Board of India, Basix (Microfinance).
