The Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital (EVC) club
for the batch of 2009 endeavors’ towards positioning the ISB as an
entrepreneur churner by adding value to the existing ecosystem so as
to soar the number of ISB entrepreneurs.
About Us
Our focus areas include fostering and facilitating entrepreneurship,
promoting interaction between the ISB and the EVC club, nurturing
family businesses and increasing interactions with venture capital
and PE funds.
As a means to facilitate entrepreneurship we conduct workshops with
faculty and the industry to provide exposure to students in various
fields. We provide a common platform to facilitate harmony of teams
and prospective entrepreneurs. Apart from the various internal
B-plan competitions that we conduct, we also hold motivational
speaker series conducted by successful entrepreneurs’ to understand
legal, financial and other nuances of the business. This year, the
EVC club has also taken the initiative to organize BarCamps which
will be a series of intense participatory workshop-events with
discussions, demos and interactions with successful entrepreneurs.
Furthermore, the club nurtures a platform for individuals from
family businesses to address their specific concerns and enable them
to draw from the knowledge that resides within the student body
about family business lineage.
