The Indian School of Business (ISB) was founded by eminent business leaders and leading academics from around the world. The School is spread over a sprawling 260-acre campus in Hyderabad, India.
The ISB has academic associations with internationally renowned business schools, including the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and London Business School. This lineage attracts the best academicians to the ISB, and ensures that our curriculum is contemporary and research driven.
One of the critical factors that clearly differentiates the ISB from other business schools in India is its focus on academic research relating to business management. The resident faculty at the ISB is engaged in high quality research in the areas of Accounting, Economics, Finance, Information Systems, Marketing, Operations Management, and Organisational Behaviour. Our faculty members have published their work in top-tier international journals such as Management Science, Operations Research, Information Systems Research, Management Information Systems Quarterly, Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics and Review of Financial Studies. The ISB currently houses five Centres of Excellence in the areas of Analytical Finance, Entrepreneurship, Logistics and Manufacturing, Information Technology and the Networked Economy and Leadership, Innovation and Change. The centres play an important role in supporting and catalysing academic research. Seminars and conferences showcasing academic research by visitors and resident faculty are a regular feature at the ISB, adding to a vibrant and rewarding intellectual environment.
