Events 2010
May 22, 2010: The retail club began its store visit series for the year even before the club was formally formed. A visit was made to the Metro Cash and Carry store. Given that such stores are only accessible to registered buyers the learning’s were entirely different. Insights were gathered on Metro’s marketing, pricing and in-store planning and layout strategies. The students also learned about the various inventory management techniques that were being adopted by Metro to reduce number of inventory days and to increase operational efficiency.
