Amit Mehra is an Assistant Professor and Research Fellow at the Indian School of Business. He draws upon game theory, agency theory and econometric tools to research Internet retailing, Internet advertising, software product development, pricing and launch strategies and human capital development for IT firms. He has published in the most exclusive international journals such as Information Systems Research and Management Information Systems Quarterly. He is regularly invited to present worldwide at top academic as well as industry conferences on Information Systems and Marketing. He teaches the Business Statistics and the Social Media, Online Advertising and Web Analytics course to MBA students at ISB. He received his PhD from the University of Rochester and his bachelor’s degree from IIT Delhi. |

Chris Dellarocas
Associate Professor - Boston University
Chris Dellarocas is an Associate
Professor of Information Systems at Boston
University’s School of Management. He is one of the
world’s most cited scholars in the fields of online
reputation and social media. His thinking has also
been featured in business books and trade
publications ranging from the New York Times,
Financial Times and Wall Street Journal to Variety
and Slate. Other interests include collective
intelligence, online advertising and the economics
of media industries.
Dellarocas holds Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Computer
Science from MIT. Prior to Boston University he
taught for eight years at MIT's Sloan School of
Management and for five years at the University of
Maryland’s R. H. Smith School of Business. Before
pursuing an academic career he was a management
consultant with Accenture and McKinsey.
Dellarocas is Senior Editor of Information Systems
Research, the most respected academic journal in the
field, and has chaired some of the most prestigious
international conferences in Electronic Commerce. He
has received numerous teaching and funding awards
including the National Science Foundation's CAREER
award, as well as grants from DARPA, Google and
Microsoft. He holds 9 patents and is co-founder and
advisor of a number of companies in the technology
space.

Sundararajan
Associate Professor - New York University
Arun Sundararajan is the NEC Faculty Fellow and
Associate Professor at NYU Stern School of Business,
where he also directs the IS doctoral program, where he
has recently been deeply involved in charting the
institution's India-directed strategy. He has
published widely on the economics of IT, social media
and networks, and has given over 200 conference and
invited presentations internationally. His research has
won three Best Paper awards, has been profiled by
numerous trade publications, and has been supported by
organizations that include Google, IBM, Microsoft and
Yahoo!
Professor Sundararajan's opinion pieces have appeared in
CIO Magazine, the Economic Times, the Financial Times,
Harvard Business Review, Knowledge@Wharton and the Mint, InformationWeek.
He was a founding co-chair in 2005 of the NYU Summer
Workshop on the Economics of IT, and in 2009 of the
Workshop on Information in Networks, a consortium of the
leading academics studying social networks across
marketing, management, economics, computer science and

Academic Fellow at the Indian School of Business, and is

Anthony Dukes' research focuses on retailing
and distribution channels, and investigating
issues such as the implication of big-box
retailing on assortment, pricing, antitrust, and
supplier relationships. Professor Dukes'
research has appeared in the Journal of
Marketing Research, Marketing Science, Journal
of Business, and other leading academic
journals. He teaches the core Marketing
Management course in Marshall's evening MBA
program. Before joining Marshall, he was at the
University of Aarhus, in Denmark, and at

Tarun Jain is affiliated with the Indian School
of Business (ISB) as a resident faculty in the
area of Economics and Public Policy. Prior to
joining the ISB, he was working with the
University of Virginia as an Instructor. In his
career span, he has also worked with Charles
River Associates Inc., Oliver Wyman, Braun
Consulting, and Eastern Economic Journal.
His areas of research are Development Economics,

Experimental Economics. He is a PhD as well as

Langer

Nishtha Langer is an Assistant Professor of
Information Systems at the Indian School of
Business, Hyderabad. Her research looks at the
economics of Human Capital and the business
value of Information Technology (IT). Her
research has been published at top tier
journals, including Information Systems Research
and Interfaces, and widely presented and
acclaimed by both academic and industry
audience.
Prior to joining ISB, Dr. Langer worked as a
Systems Analyst at Arbella Insurance, Boston, MA
and as a Systems Engineer at Tata Infotech Ltd.,
India (now part of Tata Consultancy Services).
She holds a Bachelor in Engineering from Delhi
College of Engineering, Delhi and an M.S. and a
Ph.D. in Management (with specialization in
Information Systems) from the Tepper School of

Dr. Parakala Prabhakar is a Ph.D from the world renowned London School of Ecnomics(LSE). He did his Master’s Degree and M.Phil from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), NewDelhi, In addition to his academic accomplishments, Dr. Parakala is a well-known public discussion programmes on reputed television channels and enriched the public discourse in the state.
