The Srini Raju Centre for IT and the Networked Economy (SRITNE) at the Indian
School of Business (ISB) hosted the fourth edition of the highly successful International Symposium of Information Systems. This was the first time the symposium moved out of its traditional home at the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad to the historic state of Rajasthan in North of India. The 2 day conference, opened on January 2, at Manvar desert resort in the heart of the Thar Desert in between Jodhpur and Jaisalmer.

ISIS has become known for its high quality research programme and for facilitating rich interactions with the captains of the Indian IT and BPO industry. Several aspects of theoretical and empirical research in information systems, especially those related to the globalisation of information technology development and outsourcing of business processes formed a part of this conference.

ISIS – 2009Like earlier years, this year also ISIS made its mark by bringing together academicians from various universities spread across the globe. The research topics truly captured the interesting facets in IT industry.

The Conference was co-chaired by Professor Rajiv Banker (Temple University); Professor Ravi Bapna (ISB, University of Minnesota); Professor V Sambamurthy (Michigan State University).
