The Srini Raju centre for information technology and the networked economy (SRITNE) received its biggest endowment (Rs 35 Crore), courtesy Srini Raju, who is the managing director and co-founder of Peepul Capital (formerly, iLabs Capital). He is also the founding member of the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Hyderabad and a member of the governing board of ISB.
Peepul Capital LLC is an institutional investor that partners with companies and helps them grow fundamentally stronger through its extensive operating and entrepreneurial experience. Founded in 2000, Peepul Capital is one of the early entrants into the private equity space in India. Between its three funds, it manages a corpus of approximately USD 700 million of growth-oriented investments that are India-centric. It has initiated or funded and supported over 20 companies during the past decade, some of which have grown into world class organisations, employing over 15,000 employees. It specialises in transforming professional managers into entrepreneurs.
Before starting Peepul Capital, Raju was associated with Cognizant technologies services and satyam enterprise solution as CEO and Satyam computer services as COO.
Raju received an MS from Utah state university and is a graduate engineer from Regional engineering college (REC), Kuruskshetra, India.
