Research Support

The Goldman Sachs Foundation, a global philanthropic organization funded by The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., has made a grant  to the Centre for Analytical Finance (CAF) at the ISB to support research work at the Centre. The funding will be used for research and faculty for CAF and to strengthen its position as the premier finance research centre in the Asia-Pacific region.

The Wadhwani Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation set up by Romesh Wadhwani, the founder, Chairman, and CEO of Symphony Technology Group, has funded the first research centre at the ISB - the Wadhwani Centre for Entrepreneurship Development.

TAFE and the Hero Group have offered funding support to the Centre for Global Logistics and Manufacturing Strategies, whose focus is to engage in innovative research, conduct training programmes and work with the government and industry to become the driving force in global logistics and manufacturing in India.

Thomas Schmidheiny, on behalf of ‘Spectrum Value Management’ based in Switzerland, has committed to fund the Chair on Family Business and Wealth Management at the ISB. The funding will support the Chair for an initial period of five years in order to support research, education, publications and conferences conducted by the Chair. Professor K Ramachandran, has been appointed as the Thomas Schmidheiny Fellow of Family Business and Wealth Management till March 31, 2008.

ISB’s first Research Chair was established with a grant  from Indu Projects Ltd - a Hyderabad based real estate company. The Research Chair in Real Estate and Urban Studies would function under the Wadhwani Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (WCED).
