B.V.R. Mohan Reddy, Founder and Executive Chairman, Cyient Limited and Chairman, NASSCOM
B.V.R. Mohan Reddy is the Founder and Executive Chairman, Cyient Limited and Chairman, NASSCOM. Mohan is a visionary who has placed India on the global map for leading-edge engineering research and development (ER&D) services. Having established Cyient (formerly Infotech Enterprises) in 1991, Mohan pioneered computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) solutions serving international clients. Today, with 12,500+ employees across 38 locations worldwide, Cyient is one of the largest independent exporters of high-value R&D services from India.

Mohan was elected as Chairman, NASSCOM in April 2015. This is the first time that an engineering services industry veteran has been selected for this prestigious position—a move seen by many industry watchers as very timely with the Government of India going ahead full throttle on its “Make in India” campaign. Mohan, among other accolades, has been a frontrunner in reinforcing the “Engineered in India” brand, and providing design engineering services to global companies, including Boeing, Airbus, Pratt & Whitney, Bombardier, Philips, Siemens and Westinghouse.

Aamer Azeemi, Cisco Systems

Aamer Azeemi is a Managing Director with Cisco Systems in Bengaluru. He leads the Internet of Everything Practice for Asia Pacific, Japan and China as well as Cisco Consulting Services for India. He has played an integral part in setting the ICT Master Plan strategy for multiple smart cities in Asia such as Incheon Free Economic Zone in South Korea, Iskandar in Malaysia, GGLC in Philippines, and now leading the effort for four large Greenfield Smart Cities on the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) region in India. Aamer joined Cisco Systems in 2008 prior to which he was the Chief Information Officer at Omniyat Properties, Dubai.

Anand Nandkumar, Indian School of Business

Anand Nandkumar, Assistant Professor of Strategy at the ISB explores industry and firm level phenomena that influence innovation – the generation of new ideas and entrepreneurship – distribution and commercialization of new ideas. His research focuses on high technology industries such as pharmaceuticals, bio-technology and software, and it falls in between industrial organisation (IO), economics of technological change and strategy. Professor Nandkumar current work in the innovation stream examines the effect of stronger IPR on different aspects of innovation such as the influence of stronger patents on long run incentives for innovation or the influence of stronger patents on the functioning of Markets for Technology (MFT).
Professor Nandkumar graduated with a PhD in Public Policy and Management, with a focus in strategy and entrepreneurship from Carnegie Mellon University in 2008.

Ashwini Chhatre, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
Ashwini Chhatre is an Associate Professor of geography & Geographic Information Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. His research interests broadly center on the interactions between democratization, economic development, and environmental governance. Ashwini Chhatre’s research investigates the intersection of environment and development, with a more focus on natural resource management and rural livelihood dynamics across agro-ecological and socio-political contexts. Ashwini has co-authored one book and published articles in Science, PNAS, Annual Review of Environment and Resources, Conservation Biology, Journal of Peasant Studies, World Development, and other journals.
Deepa Mani, Indian School of Business

Deepa Mani is an assistant professor in the Information Systems group and Research Fellow at the Indian School of Business. She is the faculty coordinator for the IBM Research Collaboratory in service science at ISB. Professor Mani’s research interests are at the intersection of technology, organisation, and society. She is interested in studying the impact of technology on organisation of economic activity, including firm boundary decisions, and the impact of such organisation on firm value and economic productivity. Her research articles have been published in leading journals such as MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Sloan Management Review and MIS Quarterly Executive. They have also been featured in refereed conference proceedings, edited book chapters, and popular media outlets such as Forbes, CIO Magazine, Economic Times, LiveMint, Yahoo Finance and The Street.

Jayesh Ranjan, Govt. of Telangana

Jayesh Ranjan is a member of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) of the 1992 batch and working in the state of Telangana. He holds a Masters Degree in Psychology from Delhi University, a degree in Business Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, and a Masters in Public Management from Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore.

Jayesh Ranjan is the Secretary, Information Technology, Electronics & Communications Department , Government of Telangana, Commissioner of Industries and Managing Director of the Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC). His responsibilities include identifying industrial development opportunities in the state, attracting investments, and providing the required infrastructure support to the industrial units.

Kiran Kuchi, IIT Hyderabad
Kiran Kuchi is the Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at IIT Hyderabad. His current research interests include design and analysis of conventional and cloud cellular networks, Physical layer algorithms, development of prototypes for next generation communication systems. Dr. Kuchi holds the position of chairman, Wireless Systems Study Group-1 of Telecommunications Standards Development Society, India (TSDSI). He is also an editor for IEEE communication Letters. Dr. Kuchi holds 17 US patents and 20 pending.

Dr. Kiran Kuchi received B.Tech degree in Electronics and Communications engineering from Sri Venkateswara University college of Engineering Tirupati, in 1995, MS and PhD degrees both in Electrical engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington, Texas, USA, in 1997 and 2006 respectively.

Lakshmi Narayan Rao (Lux Rao) country leader-HP Future Cities and CTO - Technology Services at Hewlett-Packard India Sales Pvt. Ltd. As leader for HP Future Cities’ initiatives, Lux drives the HP vision for Future Cities in the market. NSN Murty, PwC

NSN Murty is the Smart Cities Leader for PwC India. He has over 14 years of Indian and global experience in strategy, project delivery, P&L management and smart cities. As a Solution Leader on smart cities, he designed several projects in the area of public safety, urban transportation and sanitation. Prior to PwC he was with E&Y and IBM, wherein he worked with clients to deliver components of Smarter Cities Framework. He has worked extensively across Indian Sub-Continent and Middle-East on several key initiatives.

Naveen Gattu, Gramener

Naveen Gattu is the COO at Gramener. Naveen is a seasoned executive with deep experience in industry that has predominantly been in the consulting and outsourcing arena. He has been with IBM for a decade in North America and held various strategic roles for Tier 2 Indian IT firm. He has been responsible for delivering number of complex technology led business transformation programs for Financial Services. He brings vast experience in Sales, Alliance Management, Program Management and Global Delivery.

In addition to a Bachelors degree in electronics and telecommunication, he has done leadership courses related to Strategic Account Management and Global Management of teams

Navin Mittal, IAS, Govt. of Telangana
Navin Mittal is the Special Commissioner of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation in Telangana in India. He belongs to the 1996 batch of the Indian Administrative Service and allotted to the Telangana cadre. He is a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He stood All India 3rd in Civil Services Examinations in 1995.
As a Commissioner for Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation, his works in the area of E-governance and Sanitation won the CRISIL awards 2003 & 2005 for the Corporation & as Project Director of ITDA, his works were recognised by World Bank.
Paul Meinshausen,

Paul Meinshausen is Vice President of Data Science at Housing. Previously he was a Principal Data Scientist at Teradata and was the lead in Asia for Teradata's international data science team. During his time at Teradata he worked on machine learning and data science projects with leading businesses across Asia, including companies in the Banking, Telecom, Automotive, and Energy sectors.

He has received several prestigious fellowships in the areas of data science and computational social science, including the Data Science for Social Good Fellowship at the University of Chicago, and was a Fulbright Research Scholar.

Reema Gupta, Indian School of Business

Reema Gupta is the Associate Director of the Srini Raju Centre for Information Technology and the Networked Economy (SRITNE) at the Indian School of Business. Gupta is very active in organising outreach programmes and conferences for the Centre as well as building a strong network of industry collaborators. Besides helping faculty in their research initiatives, she is actively working on building a strong portfolio of case studies from the Indian IT and ITeS industry.

Prior to joining ISB, Reema worked for EMC Corporation in Massachusetts as Senior Director and led many companywide strategic initiatives. She has over 13 years of experience working in the IT related field and was recognised as the “Top 10 women to watch” in Massachusetts, for her work in Science and Technology.

Reena Dayal, Microsoft
Reena Dayal is a Principal Engineering Manager in MSIT India. She is a  Technology, Domain and Innovation Management professional . Before joining Microsoft in September this year, she was with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) for almost 22 years.  She held various roles and responsibilities in the areas of Innovation, Strategy and Management, Technology and Domain Solutions aligned to business, Academic and industry alliance partnership and Program Management. She started several new initiatives in TCS, including the Storage Centre of Excellence, Software Product Engineering Outsourcing Services, Hitech Supply Chain Centre of Excellence. She Conceptualized and Institutionalized a program for Innovation Management within the Hitech Business Unit of TCS.

She has an Engineering degree from IIT Roorkee. She is a Chevening Fellow for Science and Innovation Leadership Program from The Said Business School, Oxford University. She has also completed the Tata Group, Executive Leadership Seminar from University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business.
Sanjukhta Bhaduri, School of Planning and Architecture

Sanjukhta Bhaduri is a professor and head of the department of Urban Planning in the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. She holds Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Jadavpur University (1983) and Masters in City Planning from IIT Kharagpur (1985) and PhD from SPA, New Delhi (2003). She is also Coordinator, Centre for Urban Disaster Studies, SPA. She has nearly 28 years of professional, research and teaching experience in the fields of urban and environmental planning; the areas of special interest are sustainable development of settlements, disaster management, urban environmental management, assessment of environmental impacts, energy and urban development, environmental quality of human settlements.

Samiran Ghosh, Dun & Bradstreet
Sisir Debnath, Indian School of Business

Sisir Debnath is Assistant Professor of Economics and Public Policy at the ISB. He received his Ph D, from the University of Virginia in USA. His primary research interests are in the areas of Development Economics and Empirical Microeconomics. His paper The Impact of Household Structure on Female Autonomy in Developing Countries has been accepted to be published in Journal of Development Studies. His other paper Intergenerational Consequences of Early Age Marriages of Human Capital has already appeared in Journal of Development Studies. The Professor regularly makes presentations on Developmental Economics related topics at academic conferences in India as well abroad. He is recipient of many prestigious grants.

V.B. Gadgil, L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited
V.B. Gadgil is the Chief Executive & Managing Director, Chief Executive & Managing Director, L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited. Joined as a Site Engineer, Mr. Gadgil with his sharp managerial and administrative skills, and realistic attitude ascended to the senior position in the company after serving effectively in various career levels such as up to Sr. Vice President.

Eminent as a classic task master and shrewd business leader, Mr. Gadgil, apart from being an athlete, swimmer and mountaineer, also possesses an interest in photography. He was graduated in civil engineering from the then Marathwada University, Aurangabad in 1971, having notched University First Position (Gold Medal).
Subrahmanyam Yadavalli, NextWave
Subrahmanyam Yadavalli (Subbu) is the Managing Director and Group CEO, NextWave, Advisor, Adminsitrative Staff college of India. Subbu has been a serial entrepreneur focusing on building enterprises that use technology to bring in transformation and enhance value to its customers. As a co-founder he is currently heading Next Wave group of companies as its MD and CEO. He heads the Technology, Smart City, Agriculture, e-commerce and Skill development initiatives of the Group providing corporate leadership. Prior to this he has been the founding promoter, MD and CEO of CoOptions Technologies limited for over a decade. Been the Director and CEO of SUUTI Tech Options, a Joint venture with UTI Technology Services, Government of India enterprise, for about two years and had an eventful career with CMC Ltd from 1989. He specializes in usage of ICT in Urban Development, Banking, Financial Inclusion, Water Utilities, Urban Local bodies, Safe and Smart Cities along with focus on Big Data analytics. He is a Technology Advisor for Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI).
Srinath Chakravarthy, National Institute for Smart Governance
Srinath Chakravarthy, Vice-President has been consulting to the Government/Public Sector for 25 years. He has extensive experience in a variety of domains including Social Services, Labour, Health, Finance, and Tax & Revenue. He has provided leadership in using IT as an enabler to transform government agencies, in programme management and in the governance process for strategic projects. Many of these engagements have been for U.S government organizations (state, federal & city/county). He has also consulted with government agencies in the APAC region, in Malaysia, China and Singapore. In his current role in India, he is helping NISG further the development and reach of e-governance among Central and State government organisations.

Prior to NISG, he has held senior level positions at American Management Systems, Accenture and CGI. He is a speaker at national/international conferences, holds a Master’s degree in Business from Pennsylvania State University, and B.Tech from IT-BHU.

Shamika Ravi, Brookings India
Shamika Ravi is the Fellow, Development Economics | Fellow, Governance Studies at  Brookings Institution. Shamika Ravi’s research is in the area of Development Economics with a focus on gender inequality and democracy, and financial inclusion and health. She also serves as an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Indian School of Business, where she teaches courses on Game Theory and Microfinance. She is also a Faculty Affiliate at the Financial Access Initiative of New York University. She is part of the Enforcement Directorate of Microfinance Institutions Network in India and has serves as a director on boards of several microfinance institutions. Professor Ravi has published extensively in academic journals and writes regularly in leading newspapers.

Her research work has been featured and cited by BBC, The Guardian, The Financial Times and several leading Indian newspapers and magazines.
