Overview

The Indian School of Business is hosting the ISB-NHRDN Talent Management Conclave on October 22, 2011. The theme for the Talent Management Conclave is

A thought provoking Academic – Industry interface, in a class room environment, to evolve the workplace of tomorrow.

Research backed inputs will lead discussions towards the “Key Success Factors” which create High Performance in a Globalised Business Landscape.

Conclave Chair, Dr. Jon Younger, will start the proceedings by presenting Global Standards and Best Practices for managing the lifecycle of your high potentials. He will bring in his expertise, of having worked across industries and markets around the globe.

William Pelster will lead the group into the challenges of managing talent in a Multi National Corporation. We will discusss how Organisational Cultures impact Talent Management, Learning Strategies and Management of Careers.

The challenges are no less for Indian Corporations managing Multinational operations. This is a growing phenomenon, bringing with it, new paradigms. Pratik Kumar will share the winning strategies and frameworks adopted by Wipro as it established itself as a leading global player, across markets.

The afternoon session will start with an invigorating discussion with Gen Y – a dialogue which will address their aspirations, concerns and questions for Gen X. Important elements, as we build the future workplace. The session will be moderated by Ishan Manaktala.

The next module will be in the form of a workshop by Professor Dishan Kamdar, Senior Associate Dean - Academic Programmes and Associate Professor at the ISB. He is an expert in the art of persuasive negotiations. Through presentations and exercises, the participants will get to study the nuances of successfully negotiating through difficult scenarios with different stake holders.
