In 2007, Revolution Foods from USA, which raised US $ 600,000 from JPMorgan Bay Area Equity Fund, won first place. After winning GSVC, the company, which provides healthy, low-cost, organic meals for Bay Area Schools, secured its own kitchen and tripled its customers.

Coming in at second place was Verdacure from Thailand, which developed an innovative product that prevents and treats periodontal disease chewing gum.

GSVC – Asia Preliminary Round Results

Teams from 26 schools across 7 Asian countries contested during the GCVS Preliminary Evaluation Round. 16 teams were invited for the Asia Semi Final Presentation Round on March 9-10, 2007 at the Indian School of Business.


Asia Semi-Finals Round


The presentation round of the GSVC Asia Semi Final was held on March 9-10, 2007 at the Indian School of Business. To mark the occasion, ISB also organised a Handicrafts Mela wherein local NGOs showcased products of ventures they were supporting.

An eminent panel of judges evaluated 16 business plans for the presentation round. Two teams were chosen from Asia for the Global final which was held on April 12-14 at Haas School of Business, Berkeley. One team was also selected for the Social Return on Investment Analysis.
