Course Overview:
The course surveys venture capital and buyout investment as well as exit through IPOs and acquisitions. While issues regarding motive and strategy will be discussed, financial theory would be the main lens used to view these control-acquiring transactions. The course will be case intensive and should be of interest to students interested in pursuing careers in private equity, investment banking, as well as entrepreneurs and top management who are likely to deal with private equity investors.
