Course Overview: This course provides an exciting introduction to the process and practice of entrepreneurship and new venture creation. After a series of discussions on case studies and interactions with successful entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and project mentors, students will learn how to prepare a realistic business plan based on their own ideas.
The WCED team spends a considerable amount of time reviewing and assessing the students’ progress and action plans. The teams also present and defend their Business Plans to an evaluating team comprising a venture capitalist, banker and entrepreneurial manager. Students get the opportunity to submit their graded business plan for the Internal Business Plan Competition.

- Learn conceptual frameworks to identify entrepreneurial opportunities
- Evaluate techno-commercial viability of an idea
- Produce and present a business plan for a new venture
- Analyse a business opportunity from an investor’s perspective
