K-Hub
The ISB K-Hub is a business accelerator that supports the start-up and growth of technology and technology-leveraging ventures. Under K-Hub Phase II, a hybrid incubation model approach is followed and four sectors are chosen to research, promote and incubate more start-ups. The four sectors are:
The study will focus on upcoming areas in ICT and promote new companies in India focused innovative IT product and services sector. The methodology will be to make a working group, shortlist few of the areas and then develop an incubation model or a process to promote new ventures.
The study will examine the prospects of manufacturing with emphasis on precision tools, medical equipment and automotive engineering and come up with avenues for growth in the sector. Also, the study shall focus on the current challenges and methodology needed to be adopted to improve the sector and entrepreneurial prospects of the sector.
The study will examine Textile & Apparel industry in Andhra Pradesh in terms of its structural anomalies and other key factors inhibiting the growth, competitive strengths and weakness of the industry. The study will also analyze government programs designed to help improve the competitiveness of the industry and product sector that offer opportunities for growth & investment.
The objective of the study is to come up with strategic models and recommendations to foster the food-processing sector in Andhra Pradesh through understanding the Agricultural dynamics of the state and analysing ways to build a conducive ecosystem to foster the Food-Processing sector in Andhra Pradesh.
