| Thunderbird Innovation Challenge |

Two teams from the Indian School of Business were among the 10 finalists competing for the title of the “Most Innovative MBA Team in the World” and the $ 20,000 grand prize. The Thunderbird Global Innovation Challenge, held on November 17-19, 2005, is the world’s largest academic innovation competition.
The competition is unique in its involvement of industry-leading sponsor companies. Teams are asked to help solve one of the event sponsors’ real-world business problem. Teams are provided with research and background information on a particular issue faced by the organisation and asked to develop innovative solutions to overcome the obstacle. The Innovation Challenge is founded on the belief that traditional case competitions miss the mark in testing students’ abilities to meet real-world business challenges.
The competition was organised by Thunderbird-The Garvin School of International Management, the oldest graduate management school in the United States focused solely on preparing international business leaders.
This year’s competition saw a record breaking 321 teams from 83 universities in 18 countries enter the competition. The teams that represented ISB were:
