Professor Deepa Mani
Deepa Mani is a faculty in the Information Systems area, and Research Fellow at the Indian School of Business. She is also the Executive Director of the Srini Raju Centre for Technology and The Networked Economy at ISB. Deepa’s research interests are at the intersection of technology, organisation, and society. She also works closely with the central and state governments to explore the impact of technology interventions in areas such as education, healthcare and urbanization.

Professor Shekhar Tomar
Shekhar Tomar is an Assistant Professor in the Economics and Public Policy area at ISB. He completed his PhD from Toulouse School of Economics in 2017 and worked as a Research Economist at RBI between 2017-2019. His research lies at the intersection of macroeconomics, trade and finance and he extensively uses micro-data to answer macro questions in his work. During his stint at the RBI, he also contributed regularly to the policy work on monetary policy and trade issues in India.

Professor Shashwat Alok
Shashwat Alok received his PhD from Olin business School, Washington University in St Louis. His primary research interests are in the areas of Corporate finance. Specifically, he works on issues related to Financial Intermediation, Managerial compensation, Politics and Finance, Corporate Investments and Corporate Governance.


Abhishek Bhatia

Abhishek works as a Research Associate with Prof. Deepa Mani. He graduated from NIT Warangal and worked for over four years in Investment Banking. His research interests lie at the intersection of technology and finance. He is currently interested in understanding the impact of technology in expanding entrepreneurial finance.

Ashutosh Dwivedi
Ashutosh works as a Research Associate with Prof. Deepa Mani. He graduated from IIT, Kharagpur with an Integrated M.Sc in Economics. He has previously interned with Deutsche Bank in Mumbai in their India Equity Capital Markets team and with Equifax Analytics in Bangalore. His research interests lies in how new age data can help make smarter policies in dynamic times.

Bhoomi Thakkar
Bhoomi works as a Research Associate with Professor Deepa Mani. She is a Computer Science graduate from VJTI, Mumbai and has interned at Samsung and a US-based start-up in Mumbai. Her research interests lie in the field of Language Processing and Computer Vision. She is currently working on US patent data to classify firms based on their technology portfolios.

Rohin Nandakumar
Rohin graduated from the London School of Economics with an MSc in Economics. Prior to that he completed his BSc in Economics, Mathematics and Statistics from Christ University, Bengaluru. He is currently working as a Research Associate with Professor Deepa Mani. He is particularly interested in Development Economics. At SRITNE he is exploring the intersection between Economics and Information Technology.
