Guidelines

Game Development Student Project/Internship/Competition: 
  • ISB invites students, developers, studios to participate in the competition to create a fully functional game that may be used as part of one of ISB’s teaching programmes.
  • To participate in the competition, you will need to submit a game concept with clear learning objectives that define the scope of the proposed game.
  • The entries will be assessed to shortlist best submissions. Shortlisted participants/teams will be hired by ISB as Project Interns working to develop a game with relevant stakeholders at ISB.
  • The project will last for a period of 4-5 months based on the nature of the work.
  • ISB will provide mentoring and knowledge support to the participants.
  • A playable game should be developed towards the end of the internship/project, where a panel of experts will evaluate the game.
Important dates and Timeline:
 
Jan-Feb 2020: Submission of Application
Jan-Feb 2020: Screening of applications: applications will be screened for acceptance or rejection. Accepted teams/individuals will have to sign a consent to publish their game with ISB. 
Feb – May 2020: Mentoring / Support from ISB will be given to the participants for Development of the game.  A stipend sum of INR 25,000 per month for 4 months will be given to the selected teams/individuals. ISB has the right to cancel /discontinue support at any point if there is no considerable progress from the team.
June 2020: The final version of the game will be published. The best team will be awarded a Letter of Appreciation and Certificate from ISB Dean/Deputy Dean and prize money of INR 100,000 under the Developer/Studio category and INR 50,000 under the Student category.
Review Procedure:
Your game will be reviewed by academic/professional experts. The winners will be announced under the following categories.
  • Developer/Studio Category 1 prize – (100,000 inr) + Certificate
  • Student Category 2 prizes – (50,000 inr each) + Certificate
