Job Outline

 

The Associate Director of Learning Solutions is a leadership role that reports directly to the Senior Director of the Center of Executive Education (CEE).

 

The Associate Director will lead a portfolio of high quality digital and in-person executive education programs in collaboration with faculty, media labs, and the learning solutions and program delivery teams. This position oversees a high volume of programs and ensures they are designed and implemented to support learning outcomes and objectives and advance the brand of CEE and ISB.

Key Responsibilities

Implement unique, targeted, impactful learning solutions that address learners’ needs, accomplish agreed-upon learning objectives, and advance the brand of ISB and CEE.

Develop a thorough understanding of the ecosystem of resources available to CEE. Leverage existing relationships with faculty and build new relationships with visiting faculty for learning content for CEE and Lifelong Learning programs. Collaborate with industry partners for experiential learning content, guest lectures and workshops. In conversations with faculty and industry, conveys an acute understanding of current and future trends in business and the concerns of executives, as well as the primary areas of interest of faculty at ISB.

Work with the media lab and/ or program delivery teams to ensure that both digital and in-person programs and learning content therein are delivered with consistently high standards of exceptional quality. Attention to detail is critical.

Elevate and reinforce the brand and experience throughout the customer journey to ensure that all programs, including partnership initiatives, meet brand standards and business goals.

Strong project management skills that are necessary for managing multiple programs and for any given program, identifying and managing interdependencies. These include working with faculty to schedule programs and communicating schedule and any subsequent changes to marketing and delivery functions.

Collaborate with Finance and Administration to maintain all program budgets including faculty compensation, external service provider fees, specialized course materials and/or resources and all other costs associated with the development and delivery of individual programs.

Create or redefine best practices manual and process documents to support an exceptional board experience and cross-enterprise collaboration and information sharing.

Minimum Qualifications

·           14+ years in a program management or instructional design role.

·           Familiarity with learning management systems and educational technologies.

·           Experience with corporate learning, executive education, online instruction, learner support and/or instructional design.

·           Basic budgeting skills and an understanding of business processes.

·           Strong communication skills; excellent oral and written communication ability.

·           Exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders, including faculty and executives.

·           Outstanding critical thinking and judgment skills. Strategic thinker and collaborative in nature.

·           Superior project management and a track record of program development and implementation.
