Job Purpose

Actively work with the Executive Director in achieving the goals of training, research, publication and dissemination goals of the Centre

Job  Outline

-           Design and formulate strategy for AMPs to be offered by the Centre

-           Coordinate overall delivery of training programmes offered by the Centre

-           Build a network of family business clubs across India as nodal points of the Centre

-           Develop Research Agenda consisting of multiple research themes on family business

-           Planning, guiding and monitoring the activities of the team of researchers

-           Conceiving and taking up research projects in an individual capacity wherever appropriate

-           Preparing research papers for high quality academic publications

-           Preparing White Papers and Monographs based on empirical research

-           Identifying opportunities for developing case studies and preparing cases and teaching notes

-           Coordinating publishing of the Centre’s publication, Family Business Briefs

-           Establishing and maintaining internal and external relationships and engaging in collaborative work with faculty and scholars within and outside ISB, family business professionals, and other relevant individuals, business families and organizations

 

Job Specification

Knowledge:

Qualification

·      PhD in management from reputed institution with excellent academic credentials and proven experience in research, publications and case writing

·      Deep insight into the theory and practice of family business

Skills:

Technical

·      Proven high quality writing skills, synthesizing theory and practice of family business

·      Programme organising and guiding skills, social media knowledge

·      Excellence in programme design and delivery

·      Evidence of high quality case writing

·      Strong people skills

·      Ability to take initiative and conceptualise independently

Behavioral

·      Excellent Interpersonal skills, ability to multi-task, ability to build meaningful relationships, ability to work well with team in remote environment.

·           Design and formulate strategy for two AMPs and strengthen existing/proposed training programmes in the context of Family Business as per the Centre’s mandate.

·           Efficient and effective execution of training programmes, Round Table discussion and conference that generate surplus to meet Centre’s growth requirements

·           Supervise administrative support available at the centre for the purpose of execution of the various programmes and events

·           Work with the Executive Director to develop contents and strengthen the quality of programmes

·           Conceiving and taking up research projects in an individual capacity wherever appropriate

·           Preparing and publishing research papers for high quality academic publications

·           Preparing White Papers and Monographs based on empirical research

·           Write cases, particularly based on primary data for publication and also use in the Centre’s programmes

·           Develop appropriate contents for the Centre’s bimonthly publication, Family Business briefs and help convert it into a magazine in the medium term

·           Develop linkages with business families in major urban centers to establish nodal networks that will enable the Centre to achieve its multiple goals
