Job Purpose

We are looking for an intern to assist in developing Faculty Governance Structure (FGS) documentation for Faculty and Research Office.

 

You are someone with passion for academic writing, learning to work with senior academicians, process oriented, have strong comprehension, possess structured work styles, ability to complete tasks in specified time periods and capable to convert brief ideas to elaborative yet qualitative stuff. You are expected to be a self-starter, can turn in the work with limited inputs, accept constructive feedback and make improvements, relying heavily on learning and adapting the best practices from your line managers and peers.

 

 

Job  Outline

·         Support the Director – FD Office to define the framework and develop the scope of the Faculty Governance documentation.

·         Do a benchmarking study on the Faculty classification, policies and procedures existing in the peer schools.

·         Develop the first draft of the faculty governance policies and procedures.

·         Float the draft among key stake holders and collect feedback.

·         Develop the final document, seek approvals, and help compile the faculty governance handbook.

·       Excellent Interpersonal skills

·       Ability to manage multiple responses, coordination & attention to details

·       Comfortable in working long hours/weekends as per business need

·       Orientation towards academic writing / drafting.

·       1-3 years of experience, ideally as part of structured academic documentation processes

·       Ability to comprehend discussions, elaborate effectively, draft and present content in lines with expected outcome.
