Job Purpose

 

To manage circulation, reference services, and IT related tasks.

 

 

Job Outline

At ISB, Learning Resource Center (LRC) plays a key role in providing the required information or knowledge on various topics to all the stakeholders and ensures the maintenance of Copyright and other statutory precautions for the materials used in the institute.

 

The Job holder as Associate reports to the Manager and performs a set of key activities related to Circulation Management Systems. S/he needs to maintain and manage the patron account and also announce the staff counter duty well in advance. The position requires managing hassle free circulation related activities following all standards. S/he also needs to take care of managing patrons fine account and send the details to finance on a quarterly basis.   S/he will also be involved in managing the regular and scheduled back up of the VTLS - Library Management Systems, and maintenance & trouble shooting in coordination with the IT Team/respective vendors.

 

S/he needs to ensure preparation of term related textbooks and other materials and put in the shelves well before the term starts. S/he needs to ensure upkeep of the circulation desk and arrangement of shelves along with his/her team members.    

 

The incumbent also needs to ensure and guide his/her team in managing day to day activities and coordinate with the team very well. The position also demands coordinating internal stakeholders, business units, as well as external sources.
