ISB Celebrates Startup Day to Spotlight India's Entrepreneurial Growth

The Indian School of Business (ISB), on the occasion of the National Startup Day, hosted a panel discussion on the theme 'India@100: The Role of Startups in Building a Multi-Trillion Dollar Economy'.

Organised by the office of External Relations at ISB in collaboration with Innovation Mission, Punjab and AIC-ISB, the event celebrated the transformative role of startups in shaping India’s journey toward becoming a multi-trillion-dollar economy.

Highlights of the panel discussion

The panel featured distinguished speakers including Jyoti Bharadwaj, Founder, TeaFit, and PGP Co ’13; Prachi Mathur, Founder, Blue Sky Capital Advisors, and PGP Co ’07; Somveer Anand, CEO and Mission Director, Innovation Mission Punjab, and PGP Co ’07; Sukhmeet Singh, CEO, A2P Energy, and PGP Co ’07; and Anushca Bindra, PGP Co ’25.

Discussions spanned critical themes such as sustainability, inclusivity, and leveraging technology to address local and global challenges.

From Jyoti's inspiring journey of building a women-driven business ecosystem to Somveer's efforts to rejuvenate Punjab’s entrepreneurial landscape, the panel exemplified the potential of startups to create meaningful change.

Prachi highlighted the importance of gender parity and sustainability, while Sukhmeet underscored the role of startups in tackling pressing issues like pollution, green and clean tech, and transforming Punjab’s agricultural landscape. Anushca, as the moderator, steered the conversation by posing engaging questions that elicited valuable insights from the panelists.

The event underscored the critical role of collaboration between entrepreneurs, investors, and policymakers in creating a robust ecosystem. Attendees left inspired, armed with actionable insights, and ready to contribute to India's entrepreneurial revolution.
