About the Organization:
Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Good Governance and Policy Analysis (AIGGPA) is an autonomous institute of government of Madhya Pradesh, established in the year 2014. The Institute is committed to the promotion of quality in public systems and delivery of services in Madhya Pradesh in liaison with its vision to become a world-class centre for Good Governance and Management of Change. Its mission is to promote good governance for a better tomorrow by quality research and analysis of policy and development issues; advising the government for improvements in servicesdelivery to the citizen; forging partnerships with civil society, private sector and academia. Its activities are designed to meet it various objectives, such as to analyse government policies to assess their impact; identify areas in governance for change and reform for effective program delivery; establish a bank of innovative practices for application and wider dissemination; promote best practices in technology and process innovation in the management of government programs; facilitate partnerships of government with civil society and the private sector and academia. The institute has six centres namely: Natural Resource Management and Decentralized Governance, Social Sector Development, Economic Sector, Knowledge management and e-Governance, Urban Governance and State Health Resource Centre.

Job Summary:
AIGGPA seeks a dynamic, experienced, and visionary leader for the role of Vice Chairman, to nurture and promote the institute’s strategies and priorities by drawing strength from the overarching Vision, Mission Statement and Objectives.
Number of positions : 1 (one)
Location : Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
Pay & Allowances : The salary will match the industry norms and will be benchmarked with the senior and high-ranking government positions.
Period of Contract : For a minimum of three years, extendable for a maximum of five years based on performance.
Selection Procedure : On behalf of AIGGPA, Bharti Institute of Public Policy (BIPP), Indian School of Business will process the selection of the candidate for the position of Vice Chairman (VC) of AIGGPA. The process will be goal-oriented which will match the known best practices for such searches and recruitment processes.
Essential Qualifications :
Desirable Qualifications : Candidates with formal management training and associated skillsets, facility with digital tools in administration, experience with change management, and leadership roles in multifunctional organizations will be preferred.
Roles and Responsibilities : As the Vice Chairman of AIGGPA, the person recruited will lead the implementation of the institute’s multiple initiatives and strategies for the cause of public policy and good governance. The Vice Chairman will be primarily responsible for the transformation of the institute in line with a state-level think tank. The job calls for advanced organizational skills and requires working in close coordination with the Government of Madhya Pradesh. The selected candidate would put in place the system and mechanisms to roll out the activities of the Mission, monitor performance, and help prepare inputs for policy initiatives. The office will be responsible for the successful implementation of AIGGPA Projects/Studies and overall management and administration of the institution.
