Bharti Institute of Public Policy aims to lead education and research in the domain of public policy. The Institute’s flagship program Advanced Management Program in Public Policy (AMPPP) is an inter-disciplinary course that caters to mid-career government and private sector professionals.
Bharti Institute of Public Policy is seeking to recruit a motivated candidate for the position of Teaching Assistant-cum-Analyst (TAA). This is a fixed-term position at Indian School of Business, Mohali Campus. The incumbent will work with other TAAs, research associates, data scientists, post-doctoral fellows and policy analysts as a team under the guidance and supervision of the Institute’s Associate Director and the Executive Director. Assist the faculty and the department in administering the Institute’s flagship course – the Advanced Management Programme in Public Policy, and other training courses.
Conduct tutorials, maintain office hours, address student queries, maintain evaluation of class participation and perform other such similar activities.
Provide administrative support through LMS (Learning Management System).
Work on special ad-hoc reports and write case studies in collaboration with other faculty and team members.
Contribute to the ongoing research activities and projects in the department.
Assist, when needed, on various events of the department and online training programmes.
Master’s Degree in Public Policy, Economics, Political Science, Geography, or related fields in applied social science discipline. (Only an outstanding candidate without a Masters’ degree can be considered)
2-3 years of relevant work experience is preferred
The candidate must have good research and analytical skills.
The candidate must work with high standards in terms of quality of work, attention to detail, ability to multi-task and absolute commitment to task completion.
Strong evidence of analytical writing ability and ability to produce brief documents describing results of analysis or synthesis of literature review.
Evidence of case/report writing experience in high quality academic or non-academic publication and comfort in understanding and summarising academic research.
Exceptional knowledge of the MS Office Suite.
Working knowledge of (some) statistical software and/or programming languages like R, Stata, Python, Matlab etc. might be an added advantage, but not essential
