Education

CIE works closely with different ministries and government organizations like Telangana Welfare Department (TWD), Government of Telangana; Tribal Cooperative Finance Corporation Ltd. (TRICOR); Andhra Pradesh Information Technology Academy (APITA); and Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK), to conduct skill and capacity building programmes for various stakeholders including but not limited to students and educated tribal youth. CIE also delves deeper into conducting workshops focussing on corporate innovation and entrepreneurship for corporate organizations.

Technology Entrepreneurship Programme (TEP)

Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) in collaboration with Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK), Government of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Information Technology Academy (APITA), Government of Andhra Pradesh has launched the Technology Entrepreneurship Programme (TEP) in 2014.

TRICOR

CM ST Entrepreneurship & Innovation (CMSTEI) Scheme was launched by the Tribal Welfare Department in 2018 vide G.O.Ms.No.51, TW (LTR) Dept., dt:01.09.2017 for promoting industrialization and entrepreneurship among Schedule Tribes. The scheme includes capacity building training & handholding support for market and financial exposure through Telangana Incubation Center for Tribal Entrepreneurs (TITCE) set up in partnership with Indian School of Business (ISB) and financial assistance from TRICOR.

Experiential Entrepreneurship Programme (EEP)

Experiential Entrepreneurship Programme (EEP) is an online programme that attempts to build an entrepreneurial orientation and mindset among its participants. This programme attempts to equip participants with key concepts, toolkits, frameworks, knowledge and exercise in Entrepreneurship.

Research

One of the objectives of the CIE is to create impact in the area of innovation and entrepreneurship through rigorous research that is aimed at understanding of how new ideas are created and commercialized through startups and new venture creation. Although many of these questions may be location agnostic, the specific aim of CIE is to understand issues that are relevant for the Indian context.

TEP Highlights

CIE in collaboration with Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK), Government of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Information Technology Academy (APITA), Government of Andhra Pradesh launched the Technology Entrepreneurship Programme (TEP) in 2014. TEP has completed five (5) batches, out of which four (4) were in 2 year format and the last batch was in 1 year format.

GoT - ISB: TRI - Entrepreneurship Programme Highlights

This is an initiative under CM ST Entrepreneurship & Innovation (CMSTEI) scheme, Givernment of Telangana, to support and promote entrepreneurs among scheduled Tribes. The first batch of this unique program was launched in August 2018 with over 100 participants and the second batch was launched in November 2019 with 100 participants.

Internships are a great way to integrate classroom theories with practical applications and skills developed in professional or community settings. The Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) at ISB has always encouraged proactive students with entrepreneurial mindsets to intern with us. Work at CIE is centred around Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and we work with different stakeholders, including Governments, Corporates, and Universities. We look for students with innovative ingenuity and are willing to go above and beyond to achieve results. We encourage such students to apply for an internship with the Centre. Also, academic Interns would have the opportunity to work under Professor S. Arunachalam, the Academic Director of CIE, in some of his research projects.
