Varun Shende is a Data Analyst at Max Institute of Healthcare Management, Indian School of Business (ISB). He is primarily interested in data science in public health, control of infectious diseases, mental health, environmental and occupational health. At ISB, Varun is working on a project, ‘Improving access to Covid-19 testing through systems strengthening’, wherein his responsibilities include secondary data collection and data cleaning. He collaborates with the PATH team and people in the Directorate of Health Services, Pune, Maharashtra. Before joining ISB, Varun worked as a Programmer Analyst at Cognizant Technology Solutions India Private Limited on web application development and maintenance projects of banking and financial services. He holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology, Thiruvananthapuram and a BTech in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering from Shri Guru Gobind Singhji Institute of Engineering and Technology, Nanded.
