Himanshu Jain is currently leading Diversey India and Subcontinent as its President. He is a member of the Executive Committee for Diversey Inc. He has been with Diversey since 2003 with close to three decades of experience working as a business professional.
Himanshu launched Garima – Diversey School of Hygiene, in 2016. It is Diversey’s unique program that educates and uplifts the status of janitors by helping them become skilled “Hygiene Technicians” and bring about societal changes in India. Diversey also enables job placement offer for everyone who completes this program. Himanshu has been veraciously pioneering various strategic firsts in the field of professional cleaning and hygiene.
At the outset of Covid19, Himanshu actively campaigned against the excessive use of Chlorine based disinfectants. At the same time, Diversey also introduced AHP – the most advanced disinfection chemical, in India with Oxivir.
Himanshu is an active member of The Economic Times India Leadership Council. In 2019, he was enlisted as Most Promising Asian Business Leader at ET’s Asian Business Leaders Conclave, 2019. Diversey has regularly featured in the Inclusive Business List released at Shared Value Summit, annually. Himanshu has also featured in the CEO Magazine for Flush-Me-Not – a waterless urinal solution and most recently on CNBC-TV18 in Greatest Brands & Leaders episode.
Himanshu started with Diversey as a leader for the Indian Food & Beverage Hygiene business and took it to new heights before taking over the responsibility of Philippines Operation in 2007. After leading the Philippines operations to be among the most successful across the globe, he moved to lead the INSEA (Indian subcontinent and South East Asia) for Diversey in 2011. When Diversey was acquired by Sealed Air, he was chosen as the leader for all the three divisions of Sealed Air and led the post-merger business integration for India. He navigated the adverse hyper-inflation of 2008 and Indian currency devaluation of 2013-14 to deliver a higher profitability operation while maintaining a double-digit growth.
Prior to joining Diversey, Himanshu worked with ExxonMobil and Unilever India. Himanshu benefitted from working with an Indian conglomerate in various capacities ranging from manufacturing, industrial project management, corporate purchasing and general management thus gaining an overall view of business operations.
Himanshu holds a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from HBTI, Kanpur and a Master’s in Process design from IIT Delhi, India.
