Global Vice President of Xiaomi, spearheading Xiaomi’s operations in India region – India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bhutan. Prior to joining Xiaomi, co-founded a leading e-commerce company -, which was bought by (Flipkart). Prior to, worked with McKinsey & Company for 5 years and has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Delhi, and an MBA from IIM Calcutta.

Manu joined Xiaomi in the year 2014 and started Xiaomi India journey in 2014, with one small room and one employee. In a short period, Xiaomi has become one of the most loved technology brands in the country:

•         Number 1 Smartphone brand for 4 consecutive years with 29.2% market share in Q2 2021 (IDC Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker, August 2021).

•         Number 1 Smart TV brand for 3 consecutive years with 22% market share in Q1 2021 (IDC Worldwide Quarterly Smart Home Device Tracker Q1 2021).

•         Number 1 Wearable brand for 4 consecutive years with 38.9 % market share in Q2 2021 (IDC Quarterly Wearable device tracker Q2 2021).

•         India’s No. 2 most trusted brand across all product categories and No. 1 trusted brand within smartphone brands (TRA Brand Trust Report 2020).

• (Xiaomi e-commerce platform) is the third largest e-commerce platform in India for smartphone sales after Amazon and Flipkart, as per the latest Counterpoint research report.

•         Xiaomi India also has the largest exclusive brand retail network in the country with 3000+ exclusive retail stores, according to the latest Channelplay report.

Xiaomi launched its Make-in-India program in August 2015, one year after the start of its India operations. Today, 100% of our smartphones and our smart TVs sold in India are Made in India.  Xiaomi India also has ~2000 service centres, 30+ warehouses and 3 call centres across the country. Over the last 7 years, Xiaomi India has generated employment for over 50,000 people in India.
