Shalini Raghavan

A marketing maven with over two decades of experience under her belt, Shalini Raghavan is Group Chief Marketing Officer for Nykaa.

In her role, Shalini is the architect of Nykaa’s marketing strategy, focused on elevating the human experience for consumers, to earn long term brand love and loyalty. Bringing her deep  consumer understanding to the business, her mandate will harness Nykaa’s rich consumer data to power not just the company’s own growth aspirations but that of the thousand other brands on its various platforms.

A seasoned business leader and an innovative thinker with several years of proven leadership experience in the FMCG domain, Shalini’s forte is in building high performing brands and driving digital transformation. Her deep understanding of consumers spans across the regions of South Asia, Southeast Asia and Europe.

Prior to her current role, Shalini was Chief Marketing Officer of L’Oreal Consumer Products and was responsible for driving the company’s overall marketing capability and crafting a compelling strategy to reignite growth for L’Oréal’s Consumer Product Division (CPD) brands – L’Oréal Paris, Garnier, Maybelline New York and NYX Professional Makeup.

Shalini has spent 13 years with Hindustan Unilever Limited, spearheading several of its power brands in various roles. Under her leadership, HUL brands such as Dove, Lakmé, Ponds and Lux experienced exponential growth and success in key consumer geographies alongside digital sophistication. She started her career with Britannia Industries Limited and is an alumnus of SP Jain Institute of Management and Research.

As a leader who has pursued her passion for brands and new ventures with an inimitable flair, Shalini derives her joy from opportunities that serve as a canvas to bring her collective experience to life, in a way that is both impactful and a force of good.

When not unlocking growth hacks or brand love ideas for Nykaa, Shalini and her husband keep busy with their two teenagers, who are her daily source of purpose, fun and learning.
