  • Professor Shilpa Aggarwal’s project titled “Market Linkages, Trade Costs, and Technology Adoption in Rural Tanzania" has won NSF funding worth $300,109.
  • SRITNE has been awarded a grant of INR 30 lakh for the project “The TS-Class Initiative: Impact Assessment of Proposed Technology Solutions for The Classroom” from the Telangana government to evaluate their TS-CLASS initiative.

Professor Tanuka Ghoshal, Jayant Nasa (FPM student) and Catherine Xavier’s (Content Developer- CLMP) research proposals have won the first and second prizes at the NASMEI conference at Great Lakes in December 2017.

  • Nasa, Jayant; Ghoshal,Tanuka; Rajagopal, Raghunathan; “Cozying up to the Kardashians: A Theory for Consumers' Affinity towards Celebrity Gossip” won the First place winner of cash prize Rs. 1,00,000.
  • Xavier, Catherine; Ghoshal,Tanuka; Raj, Raghunathan; “Is Nostalgia Always Salutary? Effects of Post-crisis Nostalgia-themed Advertisements on Brand Affect and Brand Trust” won the Second place winner of cash prize Rs 50,000.

Professor Tarun Jain’s project titled “Evaluating a School-Based Gender Attitude Change Program in India" has won J-PAL Post Primary Education Initiative for full funding worth $216,606.

 

January 2019

Professors Manish Gangwar and Sudhir Voleti’s article titled “The Role of Big Data and Predictive Analytics in Retailing” was voted as the 2nd runner-up of the Davidson award for the best paper published in the Journal of Retailing during the year 2017.

March-April 2019

Professor Tarun Jain has funding for the following Research Grants.

  • J-PAL Post Primary Education Initiative grant, with Seema Jayachandran and Diva Dhar, USD 75,505.
  • Economic Development & Institutions (EDI) grant, with Siwan Anderson, Patrick Francois and Pushkar Maitra, USD 21,000.
October 2019

Professor Ramabhadran Thirumalai’s proposal titled “Textual Disclosures and Retail Trading” co-authored with Ankit Jain and Abdul Khizer is one of six papers selected for the 2019 NSE-NYU Stern Initiative on the Study of Indian Financial Markets grant. Ankit submitted the proposal, the grant money will go to University of Queensland.

Professor Prasanna Tantri’s research proposal titled “Do Social Ties Trump Collateral in Determining Loan Performance? Evidence Using Same Day Loan Repayments” co-authored with Professor Sumit Agarwal, National University of Singapore and Nitin Vishen, FPM Student has been selected for the 2019 NSE-NYU Stern Initiative on the Study of Indian Financial Markets grant.

  • Professor Shilpa Aggarwal’s project “The value of value chains: An Experiment linking Farmers’ Cooperatives with a Maize Processor in Rwanda” has been awarded the requested amount of US$342,032 by the ATAI Board.
  • Professor Apoorva Javadekar’s paper “The Allocation of Talent Across Mutual Fund Strategies” co-authored with Andrea Buffa won the ‘Best Paper Award’ at Colorado Finance Summit 2019.

Professor Shilpa Aggarwal’s field project “The Value of Linking Farmers to Maize Value Chain in Rwanda” has got a funding worth $410,000 from USAID and Feed the Future.
