About

About IRB

The Institutional Review Board (IRB) oversees the review of research involving human participants.

It is a committee responsible for conducting ethical reviews of proposed research studies involving human subjects. The purpose is to ensure that experiments or surveys are designed to address legal and ethical considerations, and do not pose unnecessary risks to participants.

IRB's Primary Purpose

All proposed research involving human subjects must undergo review and approval by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) before participant recruitment and data collection can commence. The primary objective of the IRB is to minimise any risks for subjects resulting from the study, while enabling researchers to gather essential information. Privacy and confidentiality of the participants are sought to be protected.

IRB Application Review

To submit an IRB application, please write to us at IRBassist@isb.edu.

If you are unsure whether your project requires IRB review and approval, you may send your query and details of the project to us via email. You will receive an official confirmation regarding whether your study qualifies for IRB approval, or you may be requested to provide additional information.
