Experential Learning at ISB's CEE

Centre for Executive Education (CEE) has been successful in bringing together government, industry and non-profit sector leaders, as well as internationally renowned academicians and thought leaders, in experiential learning programmes.

High-level government officers must often deal with complex situations and make critical decisions under conditions of uncertainty and ambiguity.  While the current system's  reliance on routine methods and processes might work in some cases, in less predictable scenarios, it may lead to misdiagnoses and poor decisions. A key goal of Executive Education at ISB is to give these leaders the opportunity to engage in inspirational, thought-provoking and future-ready discussions that aim to shape the future of government in a complex and VUCA world.

CEE offers General Management and Leadership programmes for various professionals through its open enrolment programme and its customised programmes. The themes that have been in greatest demand centre around Leadership, Change Management, Strategic Thinking, Innovation, Digital Transformation and Macroeconomics. Enabling interactions among academics from around the world and fostering case study based pedagogy are at the heart of ISB's key value proposition, differentiating it from other leading institutions in the country says Alok Mishra, Indian Ambassador & Programme Participant

ISB’s Engagement with Government

The ISB's engagement with government spans a wide spectrum of departments and agencies. We have interacted with elected representatives, the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Police Service, Indian Revenue Service, Comptroller Auditor General of India (CAG), Controller General Defence Accounts, and public sector undertakings, among others.
While CEE has been heavily involved in Management Development Programmes for the government, the Centres of Excellence and Research Institutes at ISB are also delivering executive education in their respective domains.

We are proud to be associated with the following government organisations:

Given the scale and magnitude of government services, government officers are held to high expectations for the prompt and correct delivery of services by their respective departments. Therefore, it is imperative that these individuals possess the necessary knowledge, skills and attitude to discharge their responsibilities effectively. Hence, the government is undertaking a number of initiatives to impart education to mid-level and senior officers through mid-career training programmes for all civil servants. CEE  is an ideal partner in this endeavour to provide a meaningful, world-class management education to government officers — a collaboration that is designed to create positive impact and make a lasting difference.

Going forward, CEE will focus on offering a suite of programmes in the government/ public sector, namely, Innovation in Public Policy, Digital Transformations in Public Governance, Nation Branding, Monitoring & Evaluation and Economic Development.
