Shelf Indulgence with Rahul Apte

About the Book:

The word ‘Talion’ is derived from the Latin term ‘Lex Talionis’ which refers to the ancient Biblical Law that allows for a person, who has injured another person, to be  punished to a similar degree. In present day English, it simply means ‘an eye for an eye’.

The Talion Tale is thus a tale of revenge - The story of an individual who wants to avenge his family by killing the terrorist masterminds who planned the attack that took his family away. It also voices the frustration of the common peace loving Indian who is tired of the machinations originating across the border in Pakistan and wants his Government to stand up and secure justice for him. It is a statement of the collective aspirations of an angry nation which, after being pushed to the brink, finally decides to use covert, extra-judicial means to curb the menace.
Meandering like a spy thriller, with its fair share of realistic twists and turns, ‘The Talion Tale’ is a cry for justice. It is also a tale of love, of loss and the vengeance that is born out of it. You can buy the book here.
