Dean’s Address

With the onset of summer solstice and the end to 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup, we have had a lot to keep an eye out for. I am happy to share some of the recent accomplishments of the School. We had 1,194 job offers in five days for the PGP Co ‘19, and along the way shattered some records in the number of offers, average accepted CTC and overall placement percentage. In the Financial Times Global MBA Rankings 2019, we are #24 worldwide, a jump of four places compared to last year. We maintained #1 position in India and are the only Indian school to figure in the top 25 worldwide. We participated for the first time in the Financial Times Global Executive Education Rankings and were ranked #3 in India in both customised and open-enrolment executive education programmes.

I am happy that our 10,500+ strong army of alumni is keeping the flag of ISB flying high. Many of you are voluntarily supporting the School’s initiatives, which is heart-warming. At the heart of alumni engagement is opportunities for you to stay connected with your School and with one another, so that we can continue building a stronger alumni community.

The new and exciting initiatives launched by the Office of Alumni Engagement include ‘celebrating you’ by showcasing your journey to inspire others. The ‘Thank You’ event held in May 2019 in the Hyderabad campus was to express our gratitude for the contributions you have made to your School. The objective of instituting the ‘Executive Connect’ initiative is to enable greater engagement with the ISB board members and industry leaders. PGPMAX and PGP MFAB focus groups have recently been formed to strengthen the bond within and across the PGP suite programmes.

The School leadership is travelling across the globe, meeting groups of alumni, small and big, sharing School updates andmaking the most of your connections to attract foreign students and effect international brand building of the School. The Research Centres and Institutes (RCIs) at the School continue to produce great research, work on outreach initiatives and projects that are of value to the industry, academia and society at large. While we are doing the right things to get counted among the top schools in the world, it is important to increase the speed and intensity of some critical initiatives.

Last, but not the least, I look forward to meeting you at Equinox, the annual alumni learn and connect event scheduled between September 06 and 08, 2019 at the Mohali campus.

Regards,

Rajendra Srivastava
